This is big for next year; our young DE's getting more playing time and performing well.

Is Cam still anti meds? Curious to know.

Don't honestly know.

Radio guys were talking today about a report I don't remember, one that said back in late 2016 Rivera told Cam he wanted to sit him and Cam refused.

If that's true then one, that's partially Newton's own damn fault. I get the "warrior" thing but you have to be smart.

Two, how exactly does a player tell the head coach "no" unless the head coach is a weakling?

1. Cam is not done.

Cam Newton is injured. His throwing shoulder requires surgery this winter. If you weren't aware, a shoulder is pretty much everything when it comes to throwing.

2. Ron won't be fired until January.

There isn't anyone to take the reins. Norv has been a head coach and doesn't want to be again. Washington would be even more of a nightmare.

3. The Panthers have a bright future.

We have some of the best young playmakers at skill positions this team has ever had. A but younger and hungrier on defense and this team will be rolling again quickly under new regime.

4. We can have fun now

All expectations are out the window. I plan on hoping for wins and enjoying my holiday season. You know, having a good time. Won't you join me?

Yo J, I know you still have insiders that give you information. Give us the scoop man. Give us a bone here. Any rumblings as to what Tepper is thinking or what may happen?

lol... only a spell of some kind... a lot of people on this board dont care to discuss, exchange thoughts.. but they love to be derogatory and degrade each other, call each other names, and even wish for the death of people at times... sad really

seems as though you cant agree to disagree and still respect that's its their opinion

the vast majority of people on this board discuss thoughts on the team with each other every day without resorting to the kind of discourse you're describing. the problem is you have proven yourself to be so catastrophically stupid and incapable of linear thought that making fun of you is the only fruitful option when you venture onto the internets.

Cam injured his shoulder Rivera kept him in causing a worse condition . He brought him back too soon . This is all on the coach . Players want to play , but the coach makes the decision.  We may have lost our QB for good.  a new coach has to pick up the pieces .

    • Meh I get the intent but signing the OGs at the highest price and coming out with a historically bad D isn't something other teams should do. The Bears took a better route. Older guys but cheaper. Only negative I got there is that they still need to take an OG this year but that 4th is 2026 so it really should be hard for them to make a solid swing before it's a gapping hole again.
    • The coach of the Chicago Bears just referenced the turnaround of the Panthers once they invested in guards.  He then has just signed 2 high profile guards.  How is that not copying the Panthers?  I agree that there is not a lot to copy here, but step back.  We lost Darnold before investing in the OL.  We lost Baker before investing in the OL.  We drafted Bryce before successfully investing in the OL.  We invest in 2 guards.  After a slow start, Bryce ends the season 4-5 and is very close to both Philly and New England.  Later, the new coach of the Bears references the Panthers and how they turned it around after signing high profile guards.  A week or two later, they announce they signed 2 high profile guards.  I think all GMs paid attention to what has happened here.  It may not be the sole basis for their decision, but the defense cost us 2024, not the offense.  In addition, we did it without our #1 WR, a top TE, and the cupboards were pretty bare at WR.  I think they noticed.  As you say, Frank, we shall see.
    • I was about to say he put up a damn near 40 inch vertical and a 10'3 broad jump, even if he only runs in the 4.6 range the guy belongs in the NFL, not sure he will ever be an elite back but he definitely can contribute
