Earlier in the game, Mayfield threw high and it hit the Browns WR in the hands at full extension and the announcers view then was "an NFL WR has to make that catch".

Now when Cam makes a less than perfect throw and the Panthers WR should make the catch, their opinion is the opposite that "Cam has to make a better throw".

I really find the comparison of responses to the similar situations fascinating.

It might have to be the fact that on deep balls Cam is consistently off. The high ball was a much easier catch than sameuls as well.
