CMC the best threat the Panthers have ever had?

My order:

1. Cam - whole defensive schemes changed and players were drafted within our division because of Cam;

2. Smitty - his numbers speak for themselves;

3. CMC - if he stays healthy and plays 8 years, he'll likely be number 1 and shatter every record.  Staying healthy is not a given for any skill position player.

Then your title and post make little sense. Saying best offensive weapon we ever had is different than saying is CMCs year so far the best offensive production for a nonquarterback in a single season. Then you can't compare with 4 games yet and no Smith's season in 2005 was the best offensive production by a nonquarterback for the Panthers.

If J.J. Watt did not exist ( because he is a once a generation talent regulated to a  losing team)Luke is number 2, but in the same situation. 

I disagree with everything you said. Luke is 27 years old and he has a very bright future  to add to his all of fame career. The guy had a terrible coordinator all year which has obviously effected everyone’s play and he still has the second most tackles for loss behind Donald for the Rams. CMC will not regress. How many bad teams did Smitty perform with? Talent like that does not just disappear.

2005 Steve Smith was cheat mode. He was the best player I ever saw. His performance in the playoffs that year was legendary. CMC has a long way to go until he surpasses Smitty.

Fournette was injury prone in college and also in the pros and a bit of a head case Elliot runs against loaded boxes and averages almost 5 ypc while Fournette just 3.4 Not really a stud

CMC is great.  I love Steve Smith, hard to decide but CMC is on track to be our best.  Outside of Cam of course.
