Steve Smith demanded double teams had questionable QBs and still put up crazy numbers. Maybe in time CMC will be, but I have to go with Smitty!

Disagree, cmc is a bad man but until he’s catching in double coverage or stiff arming defenders so bad into the ground a tombstone magically appears I can’t put him above smith. Cmc however has all the tools to surpass him soon, talking next season soon

For the record I agree Steve Smith was a bigger threat. I wanted to see what others thought because although he does not demand double teams all the time, he very well could get over 2k yards and over 1k yards his rookie year....so it is worth discussing.

At RB? Probably, but I think DeAngelo's saltiness has made a lot of fans forget just how good he was.  I'd definitely put Cam and Smitty ahead of him right now and it's going to be virtually impossible to pass Cam simply due to the importance of the QB position.

It'd be interesting to see how CMC would do if we played him as a WR only for one game and he ran routes all over the field.

Steve Smith is the best weapon we've ever had. I would trade CMC for a young Smith without a second thought. D-Will utilized Jeff Otah, the best run blocking RT I've ever seen, to rack up yardage. The instant Otah's body started to fall apart so did D-Wills runs. I can only dream what it would be like to have CMC running behind Otah with Smith as our #1 WR. We'd finally win the SB even with our terrible defense.

To me, Cam is. The league hasn’t had a qb like Cam. Dude is a beast.

I agree with you about Smith. It’s wild to think though that as dominate as Smith was, CMC can have more yards this season than Smith ever had.

Barring injury cmc could have 2000 yards from scrimmage every season He’s averaging over 5 yards per carry and 100 catches so
