We're three days from the lowest low since the Clausen and Fox era, aren't we?

2010 made me feel suicidal on Sundays and we were an embarassment as an organization. Clausen proved to be out of his league, Fox coached like he had dementia and JR did his meddling for the only sake of the shield.

Don't get me wrong, these losses in 2018 suck but a tweak here and there and i can see the team getting back to close to 12-4 team in 2019 despite all the pitchforks. If Cam's shoulder is healthy of course.

I realize this isn’t saying a lot... but I feel like the Panthers will play some of their best football these next 4 games. Win or lose.

It’s just what they do this time of year, especially when people count them out.

That why it needs to stop.  Playing your best when you absolutely have to after pissing away half a season and coming up short is a piss poor way to run a franchise.  But what do I know.

I just hope that if the D starts performing markedly better that instead of saving Ron's ass like he hopes, it instead puts the nail in his coffin by showing that he didn't make the obvious call earlier and waiting until we were practically eliminated from the playoffs to make the call. I think that mathematically we have about a 17% chance to make the playoffs. Becore our losing streak we were close to 80%.

his mentality has always been late reactive...he doesnt understand the words proactive, progressive and forethinking. ... hell of a nice guy ...but so was Tony Dungy...

With Rivera taking over the DC duties I’m actually much more optimistic than I was before. For me this still isn’t as disappointing as missing the playoffs after making it to the Super Bowl.

This is actually the most interesting storyline to me.  It will be VERY interesting to see if him taking over as DC actually makes a difference or if it's more of the same.  I actually think that the players just needed a spark, and this spark could be it (but Rivera will get the credit)

I hold onto the belief that the players really want Rivera gone. They’ve played that way and will continue to do so until he’s canned in a few weeks.

I don’t kniw if players ever think this because their jobs are on the line too

They can say one thing and do another. If it isn’t outright tanking, it’s definitely a big dose of apathy. “Oh, my man burned me for a 67-yard touchdown on 3rd and 23? fug it, it’d be somebody else blowing it if it wasn’t me”

Fox was a lame duck and didn’t give a poo because of the pending lockout.

more worried about the offense... the defense can't do much when the offense turns it over 5 times

Cam is hurt, and needs surgery, his accuracy already had issues and to add to that he's not going to be throwing long, the defense know this and will adjust. can the Panthers?

this goes for the rest of the season not just this game.

The offense has carried us almost the whole season (first game vs. Cowboys was an exception).  I'm 100% more worried about the defense. Hopefully Ron can give them a spark though.
