We're three days from the lowest low since the Clausen and Fox era, aren't we?

With Rivera taking over the DC duties I’m actually much more optimistic than I was before. For me this still isn’t as disappointing as missing the playoffs after making it to the Super Bowl.

There's definitely some validity to that second point. I have no faith in our ability to win a game the rest of the season. Whenever one side of the ball picks it up and stops eating poo, the other side inevitably gags. And, in the unlikely event that they both play well, the kicker misses everything under the sun. We just suck.

I just hope that if the D starts performing markedly better that instead of saving Ron's ass like he hopes, it instead puts the nail in his coffin by showing that he didn't make the obvious call earlier and waiting until we were practically eliminated from the playoffs to make the call. I think that mathematically we have about a 17% chance to make the playoffs. Becore our losing streak we were close to 80%.

No, not as the same low as the Fox, Clausen era... cause despite the venom towards Cam and his hurting shoulder... the Panthers HAVE A QB and despite what has occurred this season and will with a potential change at HC... the team still doesn't need to look for a QB... during many of the bad years under Fox that was a big part of the problem, not having a QB and going with Clausen, Moore, Carr, Testaverde, etc

I felt like the last-second, missed-field goal loss to the Browns in Cleveland in 2010 was the last time I truly felt so pissed off about the Panthers being a sadsack team with a bum-ass coach.

We're in for the same thing again on Sunday, aren't we?

What?

What?

What?

We all knew this was coming. The Carolina Panthers have never had consecutive winning seasons. If anything, this is the status quo, not a low. Next year we will be 15-1. I don't believe we lose to the Browns but I predict we got 2-2 the rest of the way to finish the season at .500; short of a winning season.

that's rather optimistic.. cam is hurt and defense doesn't exist.. I just don't see a win unless the saints rest their starters the last game.

Nah we're more like 4 weeks and 3 days from the lowest low since the end of the 2010 season. Rivera will get fired after the team loses 8 straight to close out the season, Cam will be going in for shoulder surgery again with an uncertain future ahead of him health wise, tons of long time key veterans are leaving or retiring including some long time important role players...

It's about to be a very uncertain time for the Panthers. Like the stock market is right now, the arrow is certainly pointing straight down.

I realize this isn’t saying a lot... but I feel like the Panthers will play some of their best football these next 4 games. Win or lose.

It’s just what they do this time of year, especially when people count them out.
