Cam haters, what could we realistically get in a trade for Cam?

Valid question, if he is truly damaged goods.

I say a team with 2 first that same year plus a 2nd and a 3rd,  or,  3 1sts over 2 years and a 2nd.

The team would immediately be better so long as our replacement  was at minimum an Alex Smith (young Alex Smith) level player.

Our team is about to hit rebuild mode, like it or not. 

I'd consider tossing Luke for a similar deal. All players are only "one play away" but Luke is one concussion away from probably strait up retiring.

I don’t know what you could realistically get in a Cam trade but whatever it is I dont think it would be enough.  This offense is designed around his presence on the field and I dont see another player filling that void if he left.  That said you are essentially starting over if you trade him  

Cam makes some mistakes and is hiot and cold sometimes and his shoulder needs to get right but trading him at this point seems to be a very far fetched idea.  (Run on Sentence but it’s a forum so there).

"Damaged" players have definitely been traded before. You just have to find a trade partner who's either not that bright or a little too trusting.

I got 5 years out of a $500 '76 junkyard Camaro. The electrical system went out 2 years in, so I drove for 3 years with the windows down.

Right. For them it’s, get rid of him now and we’ll worry about the rest later. Of course we’ll be sorry and irrelevant, but atleast they’ll have their team back and the fan base will be back to being “respectable.”
