If we lose to the Browns, RR has to be gone the next day.

It's an interesting point. If Tepper does completely clean house like many of us expect, will we have a traditional approach where the GM hires the HC? If so and we wait until the end of the season to make any changes, we are going to be seriously behind the 8 ball. While we're conducting our GM search, every franchise out there making a coaching change will be conducting their coaching searches. We and our new GM would be left to pick through the scrap heap of guys they didn't want. That's far from ideal.

That's it. Get the GM search underway so the new person can have as much time as they can get to prepare for the coach search and offseason schedule. I don't want a heap guy or warm body. Tepper will be pulling the strings for the first time, do it the easy way before trying some of the more challenging approaches.  I hope the unofficial GM search is already underway. Ron continues to stink and Hurney should be the first move. Let the new GM see what needs to be changed and why. Hurney staying is like saying we are just doing a practice run and the big one is yet to come.

We’re losing to the Browns. But Rivera will stay on til black Monday. I’ve said it all week and I’ll be right too

The last part of this is what I think as well.  It is not the record so much, but a fairly decent football mind sees the recurring problems, poor game management, and getting owned by the better coaches.

There are two things that give me pause when it comes to firing Riverboat Ron. One is obvious...who would replace him right now? Maybe Norv, but I doubt it. The second is this: Tepper comes from an organization that rides its coaches through tough times and rarely changes head coaches. That said, I believe RR is as good as gone AFTER the season, but not before then. But hell, what do I know? I don’t know Tepper or his thoughts, and RR may get canned Sunday at 4:15PM when the Browns steamroll the Panthers by 20 points.

We'll probably be an underdog to the Browns, and we should be. What makes a loss to them any worse than a loss to Detroit or Tampa Bay? Hell, all four teams suck and we've proven time and again that we can't beat teams who suck when we also suck. We'll get two more examples in the next few weeks, unfortunately.

But then Raheem Morris Ron will be free to coach somewhere else and hopefully Zane Gonzalez in the fourth quarter Graham Gano will join him

I agree....that said, a loss to the browns is scraping the bottom of the barrel, its worse than a loss to detroit or tampa.  It would be an exclamation point to the decline we have seen this season.
