How soon you forget that he had one of his best years with no Smitty.

You forget that he was a much much better playmaker with his arm than Cam.

He often would hit his recievers in stride where they just had to hold their hands up. Not 10 feet in the air or behind them.

In the last two minutes he always got better. Very few QBs have that ability under pressure but his QB rating would actually increase.

That's a winner

this is the stupidest commentary i've ever read on any subject on any platform in my entire life. please delete your account and jump in a lake

Out of that list only Goff (who might be better than Cam) has a chance to win the whole thing.

I'm basing it on us needing to win a Super Bowl. Nobody cares about making the playoffs if you don't get the ring.

Watson has a great chance to win— and he’s the only one on that list I would compare to Cam at all.

Goff has an offensive Genius in his helmet playing him like a human video game— like a commercial—

every time they play a team that does a lot of last minute shifts so McVae can’t tell him what to do, it goes bust.

I can't believe we're still arguing about Cam after eight years. Jesus. Will you haters and huggers get over it already?

i know, isn't it the worst when people talk about stuff? it makes me want to come in and say stuff about them saying stuff and how they shouldn't.

great post!

Did anyone even watch the game? Almost every pick was due to him being hit. It wasn’t until that 5 yard rush in the fourth quarter when he stretched his right arm out and slammed down on it where we saw him in pain. The guy has had plenty of zip on his passes all season and has the numbers to back it. This isn’t an Andrew Luck scenario stop making it out to be that.

well I saw  where it was some  bad choices whether he was hit or not...

I know people complain about the lack of longballs, but for me what I've seen from Newton this year has been better than all his previous years.

Norv Turner has made a world of difference. It honestly makes me wonder just how good he could have been if Rivera had been willing to part ways with Shula sooner.

Now as to what I saw in the last game though, I've been watching football long enough to recognize a player who's hurt. Newton is hurting, and possibly worse than anyone knows because he's the type of player who wants to soldier through it.

I'd take a serious look at sitting him down, but I know Ron Rivera isn't likely to do that.

He  is what he is. He’s a big athletic guy who is a running qb with some limitations. We on the huddle waste a lotta of breath on debating his pros and cons. Truth is we are wasting an all world year from our rb who is improving with each game and may break records for receptions and all purpose performance

Until Ron is gone, CMC should get used to wasting legendary performances and record breaking seasons. He’s made it an absolute art with Cam Newton and Luke Keuchly.
