Eric Reid deserves a long-term contract

I love his “old school” hard hitting mentality.  Not the best form tackles but he’s damn sure not afraid to crash down towards the line of scrimmage.

You may be right, but I am curious as to what you base this on?  I haven't seen that many big plays out of him.  And I have seen some bad plays out of our entire secondary.

He needs to wrap up when tackling. Only thing I've noticed from him are half missed tackles and half shoulder hits.

Deserve has nothing to do with it (that's a Hurney way of thinking).  It's what his value to the team is going forward.   What that is to the new GM is anyone's guess.

I personally think we need to clean house in the secondary with the exception of Jackson and MAYBE Bradberry. Everyone else should be gone.

Hes a undersized linebacker trying to play safety, his coverage has actually gotten worse since his days at SF, which I didn’t think it was possible. No way in hell should we pay a liabity in coverage millions.

I would look into bringing him back but there's no way I paid him big-time safety money if that's what he's looking for.
