I don’t believe what I just heard Ron say

In an interview with Voth Ron was asked his thoughts on Eric Washington...

“Eric has done a tremendous job for us as defensive coordinator “

In case you missed it, Eric is still DC and will be handling  the front 7 while Ron works with the secondary. They will collaborate on defensive schemes going forward

WTF

apparently you have never heard of coach speak. If he really thought that he wouldnt have taken over his duties. Use your brain

Some coaches use "coach speak" to protect their players, then get behind the walls at practice and fix things coach-to-player without having thrown them under the bus.

Apparently Ron only has the "coach speak" ability to protect himself and his shitty assistants.

Ron kept some scapegoats on deck just in case things get worse. Too bad this isn't old pervy Richardson's house anymore and you could just buy him some whores wearing a specific kind of jeans and make him forget why he wanted to fire you.

Eric Washington has been the D line coach here for years before this year. That's his natural fit. Dude doesn't know how to call plays. Ron is capable.

Yeah but the DL hasn’t been all that great this year.  Hope this helps.

I don't root for the team to lose on Sundays, but I'm starting to believe the best thing that could happen to the Panthers is for Rivera and Co. to go down in a sea of hellflames and go 0-8 to lose out the season.

That has to be enough to inspire Tepper to go out and get some people who will help the team reach its full potential while we still have Cam/Luke for the next 3-4 years

Only classless cowards come out, point fingers, and throw others under the bus to make themselves look better. It doesn’t— makes you look weak and low class.

Ron may have his faults,.. but he’s not a low class coward like many here seem like with their posts in a back corner of the internet,..

You're talking about Ron that continuously throws players under the bus...

By name?  Saying players are not executing plays and missing tackles isn’t calling someone out. Yes it would be better if he followed that by saying the coaching staff will have to better address it with the players and demand greater attention to detail.

Calling out would be like “Luke Kuechly is struggling this year in Washington’s version of the defense”

Ben saying that Antonio Brown ran the wrong route on a play last week— that’s low class and cowardly—- he could have said “I wasn’t on the same page as my guys on some plays and that’s on me”

just shows character

Honestly Ron is doing what he can to salvage the season. Inamura was the corners coach and they have been burned like toast. He needed to be fired. And clearly the problem on third down was poor zone coverage and no pressure from the line. So that was DC and corners- both have been changed. I don't know what Rodgers does but apparently people on here have insider info. Otherwise how could they know he was the problem due to his poor stint as special teams as if they are related. Now if the corners do better and the DL improves, was this a good move or not. Seems I am going to see what happens before deciding I know all the answers like some here. As for Washington he wasn't saved he was demoted. And if this doesn't turn around no one will be saved.
