Trade Cam. 4 interceptions in one game is unacceptable. And I'm one of the biggest Cam Newton fan. Dude cares more about his goofy-ass wardrobe than perfecting his talents. It's time to move on.

I’m not a big Cam slurper but I am a bit wary of this.   The 4 interceptions was bad but his year has been good.  The other thing is I think teams might show interest but will first want to know about the shoulder unless they are willing to take Heineke in a combo deal in the event they need to throw two deep balls in a row.

Never related more to Seattle than we do now. We can look great on any given sunday but mismanaged our moment to become the league's next great dynasty. I think Luke and Cam will still get one late or on other squads, but like Steve Smith before them they deserved a better career than this.

as long as you have a QB your window is wide the fug open....anyone telling 39 year old Brees that his window is closed?

some of yall are are worse fans, i mean it rains just a little bit and yall on suicide watch. I went to panther games when this team was 2-14 and 1-15 losing 4 games is a minor setback.

CMC- 22, DJ Moore- 21, Curtis Samuel-22, Taylor Moton- 24, Greg Van Roten- 28, Tyler Larsen- 27, Trai Turner- 25, Daryl Williams- 26, Ian Thomas- 22.

That is a full offensive line plus 2 WRs, 1 RB, and 1 TE. All of whom I feel confident can be contributors to a playoff team. Average age is 24. Larsen and Van Roten, the 1 oldest, can be replaced in draft or free agency with younger options if necessary.

Honestly, Cam at 29 years old should be able to find success on offense with these guys around him. But if the window is closed, then you trade Cam and move on. Find the next QB who fits into the timeline of these guys. Hell, Funchess is only 24 years old, so technically he fits too but is he talented enough to be a part of this group?

Donte Jackson- 23, Efe Obada- 26, James Bradberry- 25, Luke Keuchly- 27, Shaq Thompson- 24, Eric Reid- 26, Rashaun Gaulden- 23.

Obviously the defense needs the most work when talking about a window closing and needing to revamp with youth. But the secondary is fairly young still and if Gaulden can turn into a solid option next to Reid (assuming you can resign him), then you have a secondary with an average age of 24 as well. The biggest issue on defense I think is the 2 former Pro bowl DTs not living up to their billing, and the lack of edge rush. What is required in my opinion is you clean house defensively and find 5 other starters to be the new front 4 plus TD replacement, and bring in Obada as a pass rush specialist.

Realistically, this team is maybe 7 or 8 key players away from being a young, competitive roster with lots of good years ahead of them. But it starts with a new coaching staff and philosophy from the top down.

If Cam's window is closed as a competitor on the highest level, then you need to move on and get the best possible value for him, maybe a future 1st and a few 2nd or 3rds too. Draft a QB in the 1st round to be a game manager with the weapons already on the roster, and use the draft picks to invest in talented youth on the defensive side.

Problem is that Cam's shoulder will never be what it was three years ago. Norv I thought was brought in to adjust a style to cater to his inability to throw the deep ball. After yesterday though, you can expect short zone and man coverage the rest of the year b/c Cam literally CANNOT GO OVER THE TOP OF DEFENSES. Honestly, Heineken could thrive in this offense and should be given the opportunity.

This is another reason Rivera hasn't been good is the injury situations. Olsen shouldn't have been allowed back this year and Ian Thomas given more opportunity. Cam should be sat since the season is lost. Green Bay did this last year with Rodgers. Then there was the Kalil fiasco last year.

As for the youth, Obada has been a flash in the pan twice this year. Love his story, sure he's a great guy, but he's not consistent enough. It's Kone Ealy 2.0. Jackson showed yesterday why it ain't gonna happen as an outside corner. Cut Captain and he'd be perfect for shutting down slot receivers. Bradberry is garbage and hardly a #2. Keuchly may be 27, but those concussions put him at about 36 and you've seen that this year. I do think Reid should stay around, but the league has been out to get us since the signing. Gaulden is another wasted Hurney pic that should have been a 5th rounder not a 3rd. Van Roten looked absolutely atrocious and lost yesterday and shouldn't be a starter, same with Clark. JPP burned Clark all day yesterday. JPP is like 60 with nine fingers.

Hurney has to go then Ron. Hurney is only here b/c JR. Just no Condoleeza please.

All I'm going to say is how bad did the Rams look under Jeff Fisher? Get rid of Rivera and his 85 defensive minded coaching style and get a modern day coach who understands how the game has changed and let's see what the team looks like first.

The window is Cam's health, and I don't think any of us know for sure what's going with the shoulder.

Slightly off topic, but the timing of injuries on our team has me suspicious. Matt Kalil has a terrible preseason game, and the next day we hear about knee soreness. Funchess drops like 5 passes and the next day we hear about a back injury. Cam throws 4 pics and later that day the ESPN ticker talks about shoulder soreness.

Aight, I’ve had time to cool off a bit. Our window is far from being closed. Cam has surgery, and we use the draft and free agency to fix the d line, we’ll be right back in the hunt.

Moore, Samuel, and Wright looked great yesterday, as they were able to make moves after the catch. My man Thomas will only get better, and the o line gets better once we get D Will back, and pick up a new C while adding more depth to the line.

Secondary has some pieces; and with an improved d line, they will shine. Jackson and Bradberry are starting CB’s, and you have Cockrell coming back which makes the group stronger. Reid should be resigned, as he’s a young, good box safety. Draft a true FS and we’re golden there.

Obviously, this season is done. I’m not as doom and gloom as I was yesterday, though. Cam needs to have that surgery, though.
