So does this mean that we can fire back at those who attack Rivera and call for his firing with quips like "you deserve Seifert as your coach forever"?

Nobody is taking the idea of being through with Cam seriously except the contingent of the fanbase that never liked him to begin with. Watching Cam sub himself yesterday for the Hail Mary sequence vindicated your true thoughts and feelings towards him. Thankfully the NFL isn’t ran by a bunch of arm-chair GM’s that think replacing a hall of famer will be done overnight.

I’ll take Cam over debating which pile of poo between Moore, Carr and Testeverde should start any day of the week.

Yes, most franchises are fine with rolling out the 10th-17th or so best QB in any given year, that seems to define franchise caliber play these days.  That was my point, that Cam homers are so quick to dish out that bolded remark against those who question Cam, but are so quick to call for Rivera's head when he ranks better as a head coach than Cam does as a QB, among their peers respectively.

Rivera sucks. His “rankings” are outliers just like his Awards and hasn’t coached a top 10 defense since 2013’

he also owes most of his accomplishments to either Cam Newton or Luke Keuchly.

I get the fact that RR hasn't done a great job this season and I'm not convinced he's the answer going forward. But blaming him for the current situation completely ignores the fact that we are paying a middle of the pack running back 20 mil a year to throw the football.

Cam’s career numbers look great, especially in consideration with the lack of playmakers, offensive live cohesion/ability and having an OC worth a poo for nearly a decade.

So let's be real.

These same fans questioning Newton now had no issue watching him run himself into the ground in 2017. Somehow he dragged us to the playoffs with a bunch of practice squad WR's and virtually little to no run game to speak of behind a woeful offensive line. We almost beat the Saints in New Orleans. That offensive line really isn't at all better this year either. But now that Cam had a bad game and is injured from having to carry the load, it's time to pick apart his accomplishments and basically insinuate that he's been mediocre all along?

This is the same fanbase that was ready to say fug it all and go all in trading Cam for Cousins a few months back.
