Cam is nursing a sore shoulder, he doesn't throw in practice on Wednesdays. He tweaked the shoulder on a run today, got up grimacing. Anytime Cam says his shoulder hurts they put Heineke in, which is the smart thing to do. The offseasons will do him wonders.

And a better Oline

I know everyone is piling on Ron at the moment, but we saw Cam as a pocket passer only and it wasn’t pretty. Cam has to be Cam and taking hits is part of it.

Lack of a actual Oline was a major part of that. Defensive pressure up the middle killed us.

Really sad to see how this team has allowed Cam to get beat up year after year.

I know right, especially 2014....that season was hard to watch. Thats when the injuries really started. Never forgive gettleman for putting the worst 2 OTs in the league around cam to protect him.

He had plenty of zip on his passes at times.  He has never had great touch and I believe some of the lofty passes we've seen are him trying to get some touch on the ball.  Good lord, this year he has looked better than I've seen him play at any other time in his career.  If we get him some consistent protection, we'll see how good he can be.

I'm really hoping that his arm is just tired or feeling "dead" yesterday.  Because what I saw yesterday was not encouraging.  For someone who is supposed to have one of the strongest arms in the league, having to put Heineke in to throw a bomb is a little embarassing.

4 weeks ago this board said we were going to the superbowl and Cam was playing better than his 2015 MVP year.

I'll come back and check in again in another 4 weeks.

Well, the season will be over, and more than likely we will be sitting here at 6-10 or 7-9 wondering WTF went wrong.

One thing some are ignoring is that he hurt his shoulder after keeping it on a read option and landing directly on it. Since the Eagles game, it was all about pain management, not throwing it on Wednesdays. He took a lot of hits yesterday, especially the blindside hit from Lavonte David. So it's not a surprise it took a toll in the second half. If Cam was kept clean throughout the game and then he fluttering the ball like that, then I would be very concerned. I will see how he performs in the last 4 games before I draw a conclusion. I don't want to overreact after 1 game.

Cam has always been a gamer and has not let injury stop him from playing.  The guy set a franchise record just last week with consecutive completed passes.

This season is lost.  There is no way we we win 3 of the next 4 and that gives us 9-7 at best.

Give the rookie some playing time and let's sit Cam for the rest of the season.  Even if he has to have another surgery to get it right.  Do it now so he'll be ready for OTAs and mini-camps.

He needs to let that shoulder heal not 75% or 85%.

I think Defenses realize that he can't make the big throws (Right Now) and are testing him to do it.
