One bad game. Something tells me some of the ones saying Cam's "done", or should be traded, wouldn't have given up on Andrew Luck.

Dude.

Cam is having his most efficient season of his career aside from this game.

He has struggled throwing the ball deep all year. There has been no zip on his balls all season. It is concerning for his future as our qb if you are just brushing it off at this point.

Cam winding up and throwing it barely 45 yards was painful to watch... reminds me of Delhomme after his surgery

Scary, but I thought the same thing.

Holding out hope though. Cam is different. I think he can come back with a full offseason of rehab/rest. With this loss, I would seriously consider sitting him for the season to get a head start.

So getting rid of Rivera could potentially mean losing Cam too....jesus christ i have never genuinely hated anybody in my life but Rivera might be the first for wasting this teams window.

But coming back down to earth, i hope cam is okay and just needs some surgery and rehab.

Needs a new surgery for sure. That hail mary hurt me to watch.

I remember against the Ravens Cam couldn't throw it far and had to have Heinicke come in

I'm ready for Cam to sit the rest of the season. This is pointless and stupid to continue playing him in a loss season. That poo got him hurt the first time in 2016. This is sad and bullshit.

I'll give an unpopular opinion. Cam newton has been terrible for 2 1/2 years now. He relied on supreme athleticism and arm strength his entire career which covered up his weakness's. Yea, Cam will have some amazing games here and there, because he was gifted enough to do it on occasion. But at the end of the day you have to thread the needle with the football against great defenses.

After watching Cam for 8 years its apparent his accuracy is actually quite bad, his ability to feel pocket pressure is horrid, his ability to read a defense is abysmal, he literally always stares down 1 receiver like he is in fugin highschool.

One of the best attributes of a QB is being able to throw a receiver open accurately, and being able to anticipate open windows to throw the ball in. And in 8 years I have never seen Cam be able to do this consistently. This is the main factor as to why I have never considered Cam elite, and he honestly never will be elite.

Cam's arm strength is pretty much done, he has become captain check down the entire year. I know I will for sure hear about BUT BUT BUT HE CAN RAN DA BALL SO GROOD,  Yeah! We fuging know his running ability is amazing, guess where Cam is without his running ability...a backup in the NFL at best, most likely not in the NFL. That's not exactly what you want to have out of a franchise QB.

What about the rest of the season? Velocity has been noticeably less, lack of deep passes. Seems pretty obvious the shoulder isn’t 100%.

He flings long balls in warmups like its nothing. They just aren't calling those plays in games.

Perhaps but he's good enough to get us in the playoffs and get a chance. He had an amazing game vs the Saints and if it wasn't for our bust of a 2ND ROUND PICK WR, he would have probably caught the game winning TD

Finding a QB via draft isn't easy and we did find our franchise QB but didn't enough to win and win now. Let's hope through luck we do find our next one pretty quickly and actually have a coaching staff and management that push to win as fast we can
