lack of analytics in the franchise and has wondered whether the franchise was too old school in some regards,

Literally every team who’s owner has complained about the lack of analytics has ended up in the bottom 5 in the league for years. It’s just an excuse,

See Cleveland for a start.

Old School, see patriots. How many Superb Owls do they have again?

I've been hearing this for a while now. It seems it's hitting the mainstream media today.

"Panthers owner David Tepper, who spent nearly $2.5M billion to purchase the team amid the fallout of Jerry Richardson's sexual misconduct suspension a year ago, is becoming increasingly frustrated with the team's recent performances and is mulling major changes if the results to do not change quickly, multiple league sources said."

What do you think he’ll have to do to save his job? I can’t imagine a wildcard round loss would save him. Not even sure a divisional round loss would... Championship or SB the only way he stays?

There's a fair amount of talent at the skill positions on offense and some in the back seven on defense.

The lines on both sides need some work, but if Williams can get and stay healthy then he and Moton definitely have the potential to be "bookend" tackles.

This team is going to have so many holes to fill in the off season.  And no our back seven aren't very good.  Sorry to disagree with you but what we have seen this year proves that.   We have a couple of promising young WRs , a good RB, Cam, a deteriorating Luke and not much beyond that next year.

Other than a handful of guys, show me the talent filling.  One of the couple of things in the article that seemed untrue to real life to me.

Our QB is what I would consider elite. Our running back is quickly approaching that territory. We have 2 very promising young receivers. Assuming we resign Daryl Williams we will have two very solid tackles and Trai Turner is still a high level guard. Whether Olsen keeps playing or not our offense is set to perform at a high level for 5 more years. On defense we have two solid young corners, the best middle linebacker of all time (who despite everyone claiming is “done” is still 3rd in the league in tackles this year, lol) and an elite defensive tackle who I will give the benefit of the doubt to for his subpar play this year and blame it on terrible coaching and laziness from Poe. You cant look at any roster in the NFL except maybe a healthy Atlanta roster and DEFINITIVELY say it has a lot more talent than ours does

Bad coaching can make teams look like they have no talent. See Jackson, Hue and Fisher, Jeff for details.

I agree with you

Tepper was the wrong person for this or any club.  Think about this, the good ole boy network so many  despise pushed for him.  That doesn’t make him a good owner and truthfully should worry all of us.  I have felt from the day I read he was the front runner that it wouldn’t be good and I still maintain that stance.  Fans love him now, but give it 2 or 3 years.....the love will be gone.

You don't like him because he supports Reid. Get out of here. Tepper is the best owner in the NFL.giphy.gif

Rivera didn't have a winning season until Hurney was replaced. Now in the first season with Hurney in full control of the roster, we look to be headed in the wrong direction again.

As to Rivera, his "old school" approach isn't working anymore. The fact that Tepper has expressed doubts in that specific area doesn't bode well for him.

And as I've said many a time, I'll take a transition / rebuilding period over sticking with somebody I know isn't good enough to get the job done ten times out of ten.

And that’s why I railed and will continue to do so Vs. Hurney.

Personally I disagree, I’d rather not waste our super stars prime years and the last few years of our oldschool good vets rebuilding a team.

We all want to see wins, playoffs, superb owls.

GM needs to change, Rivera needs to stay and we need to bring Wilkes back as DC or find a new one and put Washington back on his line.

How old are you ? I’d  say 15 at best.  Go back and look at my thoughts on Tepper from WAY before he owned the team.  You are a typical snowflake punk, everything is about some special interest or race to you retards.

Hardly matters. Tepper can't be fired and I doubt he sells the team anytime this year.

We don't know what kind of owner he is, yet, as he hasn't had to get involved in any major decisions. That changes this offseason. Then you can judge.

Said it elsewhere: We have a lot of cap space and open roster spots next season. The team is set for a major retooling.

That's not a bad thing, unless the job of managing that overhaul is left in the hands of the two guys who have yet to prove they can build a winning team.
