I could care less WE ARE NOT HIRING IN HOUSE ANYMORE DAWG GET THAT THRU YOUR THICK SKULL. THAT IS HOW YOU WIND UP WITH THE ERIC WASHINGTONS OF THE WORLD

That's fine. As long as you are willing to subject the offense to another offensive coordinator and QB coach. Personally, I would like to continue down the path of staying the course with the Turners. The real question would be who the new DC and staff would be?

Think of it this way. Cam is very familiar and, apparently, likes working with Scott. Cam is also not getting any younger. Do you really want to chance wasting a year or two on a new system while Cam crosses 30?

Washington is a bad example of a successful in-house hire. He was simply the last one standing, not the one most qualified. There's a difference.

Oh, and your caps lock is stuck. Makes you look like a tool, but okay.

It's also worth noting that this article puts her knee on the hot seat too. Although Rivera is mentioned my name (and that only once: it's a short article) it states that Tepper is frustrated with "coaching and management".

Sounds like a house cleaning is a very real to.

Marty her knee needs to be gone

How did the Ron Rivera segment of Panthers history start again?

Non-Playoff coaches and GM. How many years out of Rivera’s tender have we been in the playoffs?

I get it’s a new owner so I will give some leniency to that fact. He’s the owner he’s gonna want it his way, that’s understandable.

However, I could quickly see this turning into a haslam revolving door.

Other than a handful of guys, show me the talent filling.  One of the couple of things in the article that seemed untrue to real life to me.

There's a fair amount of talent at the skill positions on offense and some in the back seven on defense.

The lines on both sides need some work, but if Williams can get and stay healthy then he and Moton definitely have the potential to be "bookend" tackles.

There is certainly talent on the DLine, as well as the secondary (Reid; Bradberry; Adams). A good coach extracts that talent. A bad coach lets them sit on their paychecks.

I think Ron will be gone pretty much regardless this offseason, thanks for the services and he did have success but a new direction needed will be the reasoning. I myself have been a Ron supporter but do believe with the young offensive weapons and cam at his peak now, we need to take advantage of this and shift to a more aggressive philosophy.

I also was a Ron  supporter and he had had a good run. It is time.

omg i love david tepper pls:

... has been reaching out increasingly to confidants and associates around the league in recent weeks and expressing a growing sense that he may need to shake up the organization. Tepper has been concerned about the lack of analytics in the franchise and has wondered whether the franchise was too old school in some regards, and the collapse of their defense and some recent in-game decisions by coach Ron Rivera have added to the unrest, the sources said. A loss to lowly Tampa Sunday – after three-straight defeats following a fast start – will only hasten the momentum, the sources said.

I agree with you

Tepper was the wrong person for this or any club.  Think about this, the good ole boy network so many  despise pushed for him.  That doesn’t make him a good owner and truthfully should worry all of us.  I have felt from the day I read he was the front runner that it wouldn’t be good and I still maintain that stance.  Fans love him now, but give it 2 or 3 years.....the love will be gone.

Rivera didn't have a winning season until Hurney was replaced. Now in the first season with Hurney in full control of the roster, we look to be headed in the wrong direction again.

As to Rivera, his "old school" approach isn't working anymore. The fact that Tepper has expressed doubts in that specific area doesn't bode well for him.

And as I've said many a time, I'll take a transition / rebuilding period over sticking with somebody I know isn't good enough to get the job done ten times out of ten.

You're afraid of the next two years under a new coach? That's far from guaranteed, but even accepting it, what are you going to do when two years from now we're still mediocre? Now you've wasted four years instead of just two.

We were in the playoffs 3 times with Fox before things crumbled and he left. 4 times with Rivera, although I don't see the 2014 season when we stumbled backwards into the playoffs as a success.

Tepper, at least hopefully, has studied Rivera's history and will make the best choice for the team. We aren't going to when a championship with Rivera. Rivera is too set in his ways, his philosophy is outdated, horrible game management, horrible roster decisions and staff decisions.

The roster management alone should be enough to get him fired. It shouldn't have to take injuries in order for better talent to see the field year after year. It's the same crap over and over again with Rivera.
