Marty’s actually done a good job this year. Not perfect, but early returns are that we had our best draft in a LONG time.

LONG time? Have you forgotten last year?

We got McCaffrey, Samuel, Moton and Alex Armah out of last year's draft. Technically, had Harrison Butker too but, ya know...

For this year, outside of the first two rounds, who's contributing anything? Ian Thomas? Yeah...no.

That's basically a one round improvement over Marty's typical drafts. When you pair that with Marty's lousy free agent period this year, it doesn't exactly add up to a stellar performance.

Be careful what you wish for.  I said it back before the season started, I don’t think Tepper will be as successful as some of you think.  I’ve got bad feelings that he may be a meddler moving forward and we all know how that turns out.

What’s your measurement for success?

It will be extremely hard, near impossible to do worse in any capacity or meddle more than JR.

All GMs have strengths and weaknesses and Gettle and Hurney were polar opposites in what they were good at.

People on this forum seem to only care about drafting for some reason, Hurney wasn’t bad at drafting and that’s not how he fuged the Panthers the first time I doubt it’ll be his downfall tha second time.

You can't separate the different aspects of roster building and make a true judgement.

The only thing that matters is whether the full roster wins or loses.
