Still didn’t make him the Assistant GM, all it means is he was doing the menial jobs for the GM, with no real acting power.

Since when is organizing the scouting department and player contracts and overseeing the day-to-day football administration considered menial jobs?

So he can add and subtract. Anyone can work a salary cap. And do a hell of a lot better job than Hurney did. He did whatever he was told to do. Where is his football experience? Scouting? Anything?

And let’s discuss his relevant resume’. You know...the 12 years as a GM. Explain his time in CAR in a way that would make me want to hire him?  Go....

He was director of football operations for 3 years before being promoted to GM. How many GMs in the NFL were players?

What made Brandon Beane qualified? Yet you and many here wanted him to be our GM.

So basically if this team plays in december like they usually do then we’re stuck with Ron for another year... what does this team have to do in the playoffs to save his job?

Oh yeh, I want someone to show me the history this team has of winning.. pretty sure JR was right around .500

I've been hearing this for a while now. It seems it's hitting the mainstream media today.

"Panthers owner David Tepper, who spent nearly $2.5M billion to purchase the team amid the fallout of Jerry Richardson's sexual misconduct suspension a year ago, is becoming increasingly frustrated with the team's recent performances and is mulling major changes if the results to do not change quickly, multiple league sources said."

And hired by the only person in the league who ever hired him for that position. A man who’s judgement is questionable on a good day.

Once again, quit dancing around the real issue. I know you hate facts but you have to acknowledge them sooner or later. No employer cares about anything but his time as GM. Sell me on that. Don’t avoid it. Man up and state your case. If he’s as good as you think this should be easy.

Coming in, Tepper probably saw our record and recent history, making him somewhat comfortable.  He's been assessing everything from the facilities to management since Day 1 of taking over.  Sure, we have a tight culture and all but it's just not translating to a consistent league leading product.

Now that he's actually experiencing the weird Jekyl and Hyde nature of the organization along with the weird tendencies from coaching, I can definitely see why he's like...

"Thank u, next"

Super Bowl appearance, 2 NFC Championship appearances as a GM.

Beane isn't an example is appeal to right now.

As to your argument, even if we accept the premise, it's basically equivalent to arguing that Hue Jackson deserves to keep a head coaching job because he was a good offensive coordinator.

Address his time in the actual GM position.

(Hint: You can't cherry pick, and you can't ignore the win-loss record)

Tell me when Hue Jackson makes it to the super bowl.

In 12 years...lol.  3 playoff appearances in 11-12 years....left team in salary cap he’ll.

Meanwhile, the guy that had your job while you were doing morning traffic, built 4 playoff teams in 5 years with a SB appearance. While cleaning up a cap mess.

What’s Marty gonna respond to that with?
