Yep, it looks like they knew about the incident. But after they saw the video, they knew he had lied to their management team.

How can they say they investigated the issue, but didn't know what was on the video?  What it was is they didn't think TMZ would get their hands on the video or even get knowledge about this incident.  They just made a business move, and no one should see this as a moral move.

Welcome to society in 2018, where PC culture and social media get people fired at the drop of a hat whether right or wrong. Get caught using the N word on tape? Fired. Get caught on tape in a scuffle with a female? Fired. Tweet something stupid ten years ago? Fired. Get accused of rape 30 years ago with no proof? Fir ... no, elected to the Supreme Court ... but they almost got him, lol.

As a fellow human being, I advise all of you to get off social media, don't touch anyone ever, and never speak again. You'll go far.

Let him sit out rest of year and possibly next as well but someone will and should sign him when his suspension is over.

What he did was wrong and you can’t overlook the fact that he also lied to the management. However, No charges were filed or will be filed as of now, which I think is equally important.

Most importantly: There are conflicting stories about why it escalated to that point and i don’t know what is true or not. However, a women should be held equally responsible for her actions if she was a part of the problem. I realize that may be an unpopular opinion and is not an excuse for Hunt’s actions, but respect is a 2-way street.

that was one of the problems with the hardy situation. hardy downplayed the situation (which I don't blame him because they were already getting tired of his off field stuff) but when the poo hit the fan it made them look bad. it didn't help that he was a weird dude to begin with.

not sure what all is going on with the hunt thing behind scenes, but he should have known that it was more than likely that a video of the whole thing would show up being in a public place. I know one of his buddies snagged a phone from one of the girls there and deleted what she was recording, but when police got involved he should have gotten in front of it with his team.

To be fair, Hardy was (is) a dumbass.

I don't recall hearing that Hunt was a numbskull too, but I could be wrong. Lying to the team isn't exactly the action of a genius.

don't act like a douche and you won't have a problem.

for the general population, staying off social media is the easier of the two things to do, though, and that's saying something because social media is like crack.

Yeah I'm thinking his career could be over due to a couple of factors.  One, the Chiefs said he lied to them, and as a result, they released him without second thought.  A few teams may take that as red flags.  Which by the way concerning the Chiefs and the NFL, if you did an investigation into this incident when it happened, how can you not know about the tape of the incident?  How is it you haven't seen it?  If TMZ can get a hold of the tape, the freak you can't?  I'm not buying they didn't know about the tape, and I hope most people aren't.

Two, who knows how long Hunt will be on the Exempt List.  He could be facing over a year's suspension.  Just for the very fact there is tape on this incident, means he is about to face a long punishment.  He might have to get on his hands and knees, begging to let him back in.  By the time he is granted permission back in, teams would probably already found good running backs out of college.  While Kareem Hunt is great, his actual position is a dime a dozen.  I think its safe to say he's done.
