PSA! We need pass rushers!

I wouldn't mind spending the first 2 draft picks on DEs. As long as we're not trading up for one in the 1st I'm game.

We are in dire need of a talented youth infusion to our Dline.  Mario Addison will be 32 heading into next season , Peppers turns 39 in a couple of months, KK will be 30 , Poe would be 29 .

Its probably going to take a combination of drafting and free agency, and better coaching to get our 4 man pass rush back to snuff.

Hardy went insane, Ealy played like a broken washing machine tumbling down a stairway, Peppers is pushing 40, and we had to spend more draft currency on WRs after the idiotic pairing of KB and Funchess failed completely. Not to mention the contract to Matt Kalil, we've just been making mistakes and then throwing around money and draft currency which put us out of position to acquire pass rushers. You can't make a lot of terrible mistakes in the NFL and not have major problems. We hide things by using Cam, but the wheels are very wobbly. We've just had dopey GMs, a blindly loyal owner who gives out "thank you for the past" contracts, and a HC who sits talent if they make a few rookie mistakes. It's a mess.

Jamming the receiver at the LOS gives your pass rush a second or two more to get there.

Our last pass rusher to even touch Drew Brees was back in 2013. Since then Drew has been setting fire to our defenses.

I miss how GH used to terrorize Drew Brees. I really thought he was going to hurt the guy. He twisted him up like no other...

Unless you draft the #1, #2(maybe) DE out of college you've got to expect a 2-3 year learning curve and physical maturation.

Free agent DE's never come cheap. It's the second most important position on the field.

Does this sound like an insane man?  http://m.tmz.com/#!videos/0_x2dnk4f5/

We need new coaches and a new defensive scheme. Our soft ass zone we run the majority of the time just doesn't work which is why strong passing teams like the Saints, Falcons, and Steelers torch us. Yes a better pass rush will help but like we have seen in the past teams will just adjust to the rush and dink and dunk us right down the field because our zone calls for our corners to play 10 yards off the wide receiver.

Dallas showed tonight that you need to jam the receivers at the line of scrimmage and have safety help over the top. This concept doesn't exist in a Ron Rivera defense.

It's such a shame listening to that again. If a woman hits you with a shoe, and your manager witnesses it, what you need to do is immediately run away from her. Don't call 911. Don't call the police. You and the other person should run to your vehicle and get the hell out of there. Get the witness to write down what they saw, sign and date it. Call your lawyer or call a defense attorney and tell them what happened. Don't make statements to the police if they confront you. Tell them "I don't have any statements to make until I have spoken with my lawyer." Now if it's just a scratch from the shoe, then don't do anything except what your lawyer tells you to do. If she doesn't contact the police, and you don't contact the police, then you have a scratch on your forehead and you still play for the Carolina Panthers. Home run. If she goes to the police and starts lying then DO WHAT YOUR LAWYER TELLS YOU TO DO! Nothing else. You'll win in court if all that happened was she hit you. Hope and pray she doesn't hit herself with something to make bruises.

Life lesson: don't ever date a women who does coke.

So what do we do just give up until Brees retire? This fanbase baffles me at times. This is a loser mentality. The Saints can be beat, we almost beat them last year in the playoffs in the dome. Remember that?

We need to change our entire defensive philosophy.  Until we learn to play aggressive on the back side, we will always give up big plays to quick strike offenses.  We have man up on the line.  As a result, the line will actually have 3 seconds to get penetration.

Only Addison and Haynes remain under contract for next season, though I could see the team retaining Bryan Cox Jr as the UDFA rotational replacement for Wes Horton (UDFA back when KK and Star were drafted, didn't realize he had been with the team for as long as he has).

I am all about Zach Allen in the 1st.

I believe the Panthers fan base needs to know that Tepper means business. We’ve had a “ it’s ok to lose” mentality since JR started everything up. Things had to crumble before the guy would make a change.

Signing Reid was indeed an eye opener, but it doesn’t mean Dave is going to fire Ron anytime soon. We could go .500 and Dave might be ok with that. We need Dave to not talk about winning but do the things necessary so that we can win now and for years to come.

The Tep is worth over 11 billion... he means business.
