It's not inconceivable that he's been chosen at random this many times. Highly unlikely, yes. But not inconceivable. The fine was levied, he appealed it, it was overturned. What's the problem? Virtually every fine and suspension levied by the NFL is appealed.

You honestly sound triggered, but that's just my opinion.

I am triggered by posters who use their personal bias and regurgitate talking points from the lowest denominator to slam players of this team.

So yeah, you’re right.

I think he's amazing and we should pay him whatever he wants to stay here forever. Anyone who disagrees is an angry racist who let's their personal bias cloud their fandom of this team and should go fug themselves.

Tondi “All Black People will rise and kill the White Man” is saying this, btw.

I'm glad you uphold yourself as holding completely unbiased opinions.

I think you're just desperate to try to make this political. You really want me to bash Reid for kneeling and it's not going to happen. I don't see that as being relevant. I've never bashed any of the kneelers.  Every he opens his mouth, it's all about him and his agenda. Never about the team, never about trying to win football games. I could be wrong and the quotes and clips of his statements very well could be heavily cherry picked because god knows the media has their own agenda, but from what I've seen he just doesn't come across as a team player.

How's he supposed to talk about the team when all the media ever asks him about are his political views? How many times have you heard them ask him to explain what happened on a particular play, or how much Luke/Cam/etc. mean to the team? They don't. They ask him about the same poo over and over again, and he always stands there and answers them calmly and collected.

Several of your assumptions are completely flawed, others have some merit, but the sum total of your thesis that there's a "system" in place and certain "red flags" will trigger "alerts" definitely has some traction.

Anyone who wants to Reid-up on the mutual agreement between the NFLPA and NFL on how testing for "Performance Enhancing Substances" (PES) will be conducted can do so here:  https://nflpaweb.blob.core.windows.net/media/Default/PDFs/2018 Policy on Performance-Enhancing Substances.pdf

The document is less than 50 pages and gives a lot of info on how the program works.  A few highlights:

1. An independent party, agreed on by both the NFLPA & NFL, conducts all the testing.

2. The "random" part of the testing program actually snags approx 15% of the players who play each Sunday.  Players in that sample are players who have never had any sort of infraction in any way, nor have they exhibited any sort of aberrant behaviour.

3.  The Independent Administrator (I.A.) has strict rules to follow, but in certain areas also has a lot of discretion they can exercise.

4.  There are 2 tracks in the program, (A) never had any infraction or problem before, or (B) the player has a previous violation or has exhibited some sort of aberrant behaviour or the I.A. is in possession of credible information that the player has used PES's in past despite not failing a formal test (*see below).

Players on Track A remain in the "random" pool and have about a 15% chance to selected each and every week.  Players on Track B will be tested extensively, up to 24 times per year.

By all appearances Mr. Reid has managed to get himself on Track B and if so they are just getting started with him --- the program allows them to test him up to 24** times in a year.

Thing is, all he has to do is call them up and ask them, they will tell him where he stands in the program.  On the flipside, because of privacy laws the I.A. would never respond publicly to any of gibberish Reid might put out into the space.

*From the NFLPA docs:  "Reasonable cause testing may also be required when, in the opinion of the Independent Administrator, he receives credible, verifiable documented information providing a reasonable basis to conclude that a Player may have violated the Policy..."

**Frequency of Testing:  "(c) number and frequency of reasonable cause tests to be administered (subject to a maximum of 24 urine and/or blood tests per Player per year)"

CONCLUSION: The Kneeler can whine all he wants but he better be prepared to "produce" on most Sunday's if he wants to keep collecting that paycheck.  Or, if he feels strongly enough about it, he could quit.

#StopWhiningEric

EDIT: For the record, in fact a capture rate of 15% the odds of The Kneeler being "randomly" selected 5 out of 7 Sunday's are much much lower than the "1%" (1:100) he cited....more like 1:1000.  Which, takes us back to Track B --- clearly he is on it and as such should be prepared for LOTS more testing.

It's amusing to see you continually worked up by Eric Reid. He has the courage of his convictions. His convictions make you feel guilty, and his courage makes you feel lacking.

Please continue these hilarious 'effort' posts that attempt to explain to us why he's a whiner and you're not. lmao

As long as you keep answering thr questions the media is going to keep asking them. The media loves to create controversy and Reid loves having a platform. It's the perfect combo

You realize you're holding him to a ridiculous double standard, don't you? Stop doing that. The media picks the questions, the player answers them. To expect him to take over the interview to create his own questions and answers involving team and friendship or whatever other things you've got in your imaginary perfect player interview, is ridiculous.Even if he did that, they'd just characterize him as 'evasive' at best and 'aggressive' at worst.

Its not a double standard. The media is just doing their job. Their job is to ask the questions that are going to get the answers that drives clicks. Nothing drives clicks like controversy. Plenty of players refuse to answer questions when they know the media is just looking for that juicy, click driving answer.

Yeah, and they get fined for it. Besides, I'm glad he answers the questions. We need more players showing the courage of their convictions. Anyone who denies the existence of the problems he shines light on are delusional or worse.

I think it' more bc the reporters focus and ask about him kneeling  so it more of the topic when they talk to him. Football questions are seldom and only reason he is interview is bc of the kneel.
