I've been to Sacramento once when I was on tour with an old band of mine some years ago. It honestly seems like a pretty boring city. You're in California, but you're not on the coast, so that kinda sucks. The mountains are close though if you enjoy that. It also has this "river city" vibe with a sort of New Orleans/San Antonio feel to it.

But overall the vibe is like a sprawling suburban kind of city that feels more like you're in Texas than in California.

Thanks for the response a little update this damn job can never make their mind up and I'm not going to Sacramento now it's Boise Idaho . Im a little pissed but it's always good to never settle

I had an ex girlfriend that moved out to Boise to work as a river guide; she loved it there, and settled down. If you like the outdoors, you're going to love Boise. Plus you're like an hour and a half flight from Vegas if you get bored with fresh air and nature.

It always makes the top cities to live in lists every year, for what that's worth.

As a California native, I've been to Sacto many times but would not really want to live there. Sure, you're an hour from Yosemite and the Sierra's, an hour or so from wine country... but that's just the thing- you gotta go somewhere else.

I've been to Boise a couple times, too. I wouldn't mind living there. Boise has more of a smaller scale Austin, TX vibe to it. And the cost of living is far better there than Sacramento.
