If the Panthers can't finish against the Lions, do we really expect them to do so against the New Orleans Saints, Los Angeles Rams or Chicago Bears in the postseason?

The point is we overachieved until we were blasted during primetime. This team with this secondary and coaching staff was staring mediocrity .500 in the face. The teams we played all sucked. Look at who we beat this year and honestly who has a winning record? Falcons and Bungals are dumpster fires. Dallas just got hot, but had they had Amari to torch Bradberry in week 1, the playoff talk would have ended weeks ago. The Eagles are a dumpster fire and the Ravens are garbage. Our best win was Dallas. Kinda sad.

I remember the Bengals win was considered a solid performance. My goodness - that team is terrible.

I don’t think the rest of the league and the pessimistic side of this fan base realize that we’re not that bad. We lost 4 games off of stupid mistakes

The talent is there. Ima get poo’d to oblivion for saying this but we can hang with anybody. Gano lost us three games this year. If Gano wasn’t so shitty we would be sitting 9-2 and circle jerking each other for the first back to back winning seasons

8-3...you have to take back that 63 yarder, you can't expect any other kicker to make that

We'd likely be 6-5 even if Gano makes the kicks. You really think the defense holds up on a final drive against Detroit or Seattle?

Well in the case of Seattle, that's not totally hypothetical. We did have our defense on the field against them after the miss. Wilson beat them.

Granted, minus the missed kick, they would have had further to go. Given how well they were rolling though, I doubt It makes a difference.

Yes

Based on what? Certainly not the way they were playing in either game (or other games even). Did you miss where the defense allowed Seattle to march down the field after the Gano miss? They had to burn clock because they got down there so fast. If we'd been up three, they'd have simply taken shots at the endzone. Assuming they didn't score, they then hit the chipshot to force overtime.
