Reality is no one knows whats going through teppers mind.  Its all speculation until something actually happens.

Rivera's seat is definitely not cool if Tepper is hell-bent on winning now (which he should be). We have two elite players in Cam and Luke who are nearing the ends of their prime. If this current tailspin continues I think he's as good as gone. Honestly, right now I'd put it at 75% gone. I think we have to get into the playoffs for him to have any chance of staying and I can't see any better than a 25% chance of that given our remaining schedule and teams both the Seahawks and Redskins holding tiebreakers over us.

If I was in Tepper’s shoes, only way Ron keeps his job is some type of miracle run deep into the playoffs and a SB win. That’s not happening with this team. Hate to be that guy.

Best case scenario: We may grab a wildcard win if the matchup is right i.e we get the redskins or something. But we will get stomped in the 2nd round.

Worst case scenario: we lose out. Hey, If we lose this Sunday, this may really happen. Browns are no slouch. We may beat Atlanta (they are tapping out like us lol) and saints backups

Here is what Ron (apparently) does not understand.   Vets a lot of the times have nothing left to prove and are set for life, complacency is bound to set in at some point.  Young hungry guys have something to prove and they will play lights out at their full ability.

That record has much more to do with Newton than it does Rivera.

That said, how did you feel about the extensions that were given to Greg Olsen and Thomas Davis?

Were you against those when they happened?

I meant his devotion to starting vets and only giving new players a chance if someone gets injured, it is one of Ron's flaws.  I am fine with giving extensions when they are earned which they were in both cases.

Hindsight being 20/20 and all, the whole premise of Ron Rivera and Cam Newton was flawed from the start. Why draft a QB number one overall and then stick him with a defensive-minded head coach and owner? I guess it could work out, but a conservative approach to offense is not what you want when you're a picking a QB with the #1 pick in the draft. 

So the team chose a QB to save the team and shape its future, and then ignored the offense for the rest of that draft. And the only serious attempts at improving the offense for the next 5 seasons were drafting Kelvin Benjamin and Devin Funchess (a TE converted to WR). If the plan was to make the defense the driving force of the team, they should have just drafted Von Miller instead. He and Luke could have done some damage - especially with a young Greg Hardy still on the team
