That’s the only scenario I didn’t run because I never thought of Dallas AND Washington winning out and Dallas winning the division and Washington getting the wild card berth. Good looking out

This same logic also applies in the likely even all the teams drop 1-2 games along the way. If Dallas, Washington, Seattle, and Carolina all finish 10-6 or 9-7, Carolina loses that tiebreaker. It's honestly not very promising the Panthers make the playoffs. Losing to Seattle really f*cked things up.

The "win out" crowd:

Is there really a sense of confidence that you beat the Saints twice? I completely understand expecting a split. It's what I'm expecting, and hoping for a sweep. But when you realistically look at your playoff chances, are you marking down two wins against the Saints with any kind of confidence?

We will win the home game in week 15.  In Week 17...the Saints will sit Brees and Kamara and the Panthers will win by 21.

Yea but what I’m saying is that if we win out we’re still in because the teams ahead us play each other and a loss by either of them in said game bumps us up

Still doesn't work, dude.

Detroit isn't ahead of us so what they do doesn't really matter.

Also doesn't mean anything if we leapfrog Seattle because they're not in the dance. We'd still need somebody else to drop out of the top six in order dor us to get in.

We can and should do everything we can, but we don't get into the playoffs without help. And that's assuming we sweep the Saints, which is a pretty tall order.

Sean Peyton ain’t resting starters, especially not against us. You can drop that idea.

Plus their backups could move the ball on this defense
