"The ball can reach the end zone via the air"

Ron does not trust Cam and does not want Cam to have the credit. Then he tries to trust Cam at the most desperate times where he should trust someone else. Detroit game. When Cam misses it takes him another 5 games to trust him again even though the decision is and should be an easy one. He just makes things so hard.

Red zone territory should be come Cam Newton territory: empty backfield, play-action pass, or designed QB run. Cam is the greatest QB threat (run + pass) in the history of the NFL. CMC can be utilized more effectively in the passing game when we are in the red zone.

We did the designed qb run a couple of times on the first drive, didn't work much.  Given all the injuries, our oline has done fairly well, but it is not dominant.  We need to spread the field a little and not run between the tackles very much inside the 10.  .

Good and interesting article from "another" Panther's site.

https://www.derp/2018/11/27/18112537/carolina-panthers-tuesday-turtle-spotlight-the-ball-is-allowed-to-reach-the-end-zone-via-the-air

I have always theorized that Ron Rivera doesn't and has never trusted Cam Newton, even though Cam Newton is the primary reason he is a "respected" head coach, pulling his dumbass fat out of the fire year after year again and again.

Yet here we are in the 2018 and he still doesn't.

Norv calls the plays and no Rivera doesn't tell him what to call or how to run the offense. I love how everything with you turns into something against Rivera. Blind rote disloyalty to Rivera and blind rote loyalty for Cam. By the way he threw an interception in the end zone which also took away 7 points or did Rivera tell Norv to make Cam do that?

i think this has more to do with not having funchess.  Ron doesnt know who else to throw to in that situation

I've heard they have this tight end that sometimes catches footballs (although he clearly dropped one in the endzone Sunday).

The article says the Panthers passed four times in the endzone, resulting in two touchdowns. IIRC, the other two were (1) a dropped pass and (2) an interception when trying to throw to Manhertz (W T F ! ! !) in triple f-ing coverage.

Really kind of invalidates that part of the article, doesn't it?

Dang I didn’t know Ron was our offensive playcaller now...that’s crazy. Who would’ve known?? Does Norv and his pedigree suggest to you guys that he’s a “Yes man” who blindly submits to whatever Ron tells him to run? Ron Rivera...? A coach without any background in offense? Norv is just submitting to him and saying “okay Ron, we will run the ball four straight times in the red zone. Yes sir!!”.

You all just have it in your minds who the bad guys are and then the narrative will be adjusted to fit those roles...even if it makes zero sense.

With the amount of draft currency and money we're spending at WR/TE these have to be the targets in the redzone. You throw it to Olsen/DJ/Samuel/CMC in the endzone or close to it. If Cam is picked off then that's on Cam, but running CMC up the middle to kill the drive is a smack in Cam's face. Throw the fuging ball in the fuging endzone to our SUPERSTAR WEAPONS or fire Ron's ass. Pick one. Running up the middle with a tiny RB and waiting to kick a FG makes me want to punch my tv set.
