Please don’t bang your chairs on 3rd down

Heard Mac talking about a lady at the game who was making noise on 3rd down and by banging her chair caused a guy behind her to spill his beer. Dude called security and they told her to stop making noise on 3rd down.

I've made the mistake before of doing this, but it was a pretty easy fix. Buy the guy a new beer, let him know that this is what happens on third down and he should adjust accordingly. Pretty sad that the first reaction is to call security rather than solving the problem rationally.

It's never a big deal until it's your $8 beer. Using your seat to make noise is fine. Trying to rip your seat off of its hinges for the entire game is annoying as fug. Also, never trust a sports radio anecdote for accuracy.

My section bangs seats all the time and it’s club level. We all know each other. If someone is new for that game we just tell them as if it is bottled beer they slide through those antiquated cup holders anyway    Plastics don’t but will slosh out

one time I forgot and just apologized and offered to buy him another one

Well.. never thought about how the banging on the chair can spill the beer out of the cup holder behind me, I have never had that complaint yet.... I am to busy swatting away the hand tapping my shoulder from the people behind cause I am standing up .  I have had security called on me for that (and I don't stand all the time, maybe 20% of the entire game if that).  Once was pulled out of my seat with the person behind me ... thankfully it ended up being the guards telling that guy to leave me alone ;-)  cause he wouldn't stop harassing me.  Security simply tells me to be respectful, which I am and the guards around me know that so why they usually take my side when someone calls them on me.
