Seattle Seahawks at Carolina Panthers - Biggest winners and losers

So here are the biggest winners and losers from the game as I see it.

TLDR

Winners - Cam, CMC, Samuel, Moore - These guys are all the offensive firepower needed to compete in the NFL. They need compliment players around them. All of them should be starting from here on out. They are a nightmare for opposing defenses. Young, fast, and extremely talented.

Losers - Hurney for only having two fuggin outside corners on this roster. Rivera for his team being unfocused and lacking attention to detail. Also Rivera for mismanaging the final drive, playing for a field goal and leaving two minutes on the clock. WTF? Funchess, because the offense looked better without him, and we know now he won't be getting a pay day in Carolina.

Aside from the head scratcher throw to manhertz that wound up an INT, the two trips to the red zone that only netted three points, and the boneheaded final drive (thanks Ron for that one) I think the offense was good and clicking. Really exciting watching the playmakers go off.what they did should have been enough for a win.

The weaknesses in the defense is glaring, though. They overload on nickles and allow themselves to go think everywhere else in the secondary and they got burned bad as a result. That's on hurney.

Believing and managing the game like your defense is elite even when it's not most the time is all on Ron. He's always had more faith in the D to stop the other team scoring than in his own offense being able to score and/or control the clock at crucial points has bit us in the ass much more often than it's been the right call. That isn't going to change.

Oh, and Gano is in a slump. Too hard to shake it off. We need to be looking for another option right now.

Winners are the playmakers on offense. Losers are Hurney, Rivera, and Gano.

Rivera is the biggest loser here. Bad roster construction and far too conservative towards the end of the game. Choosing to go with Washington as the DC makes him a loser every.single.week.

Corn Elder looked like a high school corner, not anyone who should spend any time in the NFL. Bradbury again looks like an average corner, prone to give up the big plays.

There is going to be some big turnover this offseason. We'll have to see what Tepper has the stomach for.

Well, at least the team finally started taking that "good look" at Cameron Artis-Payne like they said they would when they cut CJ Anderson.

They did do that, right?

You watch your mouth! CJ Anderson died for those short yardage red zone failures.

Loser: Cam Newton for being on this sorry team hampered by a head coach that doesn’t belong in the modern NFL.

He did throw a pick to a number 3 TE in double coverage. You can argue play design was on Norv. It's just that every week there's always one person or personnel that doesn't show up and Ron cannot adjust to over come it. Hurney brings in these players.
