Nah, been reading this site for 3-4 years and, unfortunately, most posts are negative for some reason. I used to give 'em hell but got tired of it ... hmmm.

Haha. Oh you guys. Look at the teams we play where he gets his sacks lately.

Last year he had 8+ sacks (over half season total, almost 3/4) in only two games between the Raiders (4-12) and Lions (0-16). Tah leaves him with 5 and 1/2 sacks for the other games.

Do I think he is a great player? Hell yes. When he wants to be. I am just saying he has been slacking for longer than you guys think, and seems to pick the times he chooses to play whether it be him in a good mood or cause its against a team where its easy to look good.

So yea he can play, but WILL he play is the question. And from what we are paying him I'd rather not ask myself that every game. I think he will be awesome for maybe a year or two to the next team he goes to.

Either way I personally don't mind losing him. I am liking Everette Brown quite a lot. He is no Peppers but compare the pay, and realize what we get salary wise as well...which is heavily needed elsewhere.

I'd rather him slack a little so our guys will learn to play without him...so far so good, except against the two worse teams we've played so far. who knows maybe he will feel like keeping it up. I am sure this hurts his trade offers, but then again, not as much as being injured will.

you really think brown.. or any player on our roster.. is the answer for losing pep..? na .. dont think so .. its hard to replace his productivity..

no one has even mentioned the total effect he has.. with the double teams.. etc...

he would be VERY hard to replace.. i'm VERY happy he's on our team!

fans think he doesnt "try" unless he has 2+ sacks..

think about it.. he is averaging 1 sack a game!!!!!!

We don't need someone as good as Peppers with his ups and downs. We just need someone consistent. And for a lot less money, to spend elsewhere. Brown is a rookie, no one knows how good he is yet. But I do think he will be starting, as we made sure we drafted him. Peppers isn't a player you replace as if the colts got rid of manning, of course you can't replace the player but you try anf make up for it as a whole. Brown is cheap becasue he has no experience, but there is a future, and from the looks of this year I say thats what we should be most concerned about.

It would be nice if Peppers didn't suddenly realize he would be even more of a beast in a 3-4 defense (cause I think he def. would), but he did, and we should accept he won't be with us next year.

If Peppers had Everette Brown's will and determination, he would lead the league in sacks every year, and would break the single season record in sacks, and would be worth the million a game price tag!

Normally it wouldn't be so early but look at our division, look at who we have left to play but more importantly look who NO and ATL have left to play...no playoffs aren't completely out of the picture...but man all the odds are against us.

Agree, but you need to think more positively like xtheronx. Hey, it ain't over til the fat lady sings ... and I don't hear her warming up in Charlotte quite yet. This is a strange NFL season so far in terms of W-L records, so I am keeping positive thoughts ...
