yes, THAT richard rogers, our god awful special teams coach from 2012-2015. he never got fired, rivera shuffled him around and this season he got promoted to DB coach. hes in charge of coaching our extremely young secondary that could define our d for years to come

Don't worry, if RR is still coaching us next season, he will be our defensive coordinator... hard to imagine a defense worse than the one we have now, but that would definitely be the case next season

That's exactly the way play it safe Ron wants it. Keep bottom of the barrel guys around that will keep their heads low, and not make any waves, and if need be under the bus they go to save his job.

Ask yourself this. Do you think someone like Ron who is supposed to be the unifier of the team yet blames the players after every loss  wants to hire people on his staff that will challenge him? Or a bunch of yes men?

Not ideal, but I'd say Donte Jackson has progressed really well.  Not much you can do about DBs who flat out aren't good (Munnerlyn, Elder).

Eric Washington is still the #1 problem.

cuz he played it conservative, and JR actually got a rise.

The NFL is different now, and I think we have an owner that knows that.

We knew back when our previous DB coach was getting canned that Rodgers was the likely successor. I don't really think anybody was taken by surprise when they made it official.

I forgot about this. I remember a lot of us were skeptical on the decision, but RR loves to promote from within.

Ron’s coaching tree looks like that Charlie Brown Christmas tree.  

He isn’t a great evaluator of talent or hiring legitimate coaches. His insistence on promoting under qualified people and his loyalty to his friends will eventually be his demise
