1-15 at least got us the #1 overall pick and ultimately a franchise QB. This year, we're probably going to end up winning just enough games to put us juuuuust out of reach of the elite pass rusher we desperately need in the draft.

2-14 got us cam 1-15 was under Seifert

And the 2003 Panthers got to finish the season against the 3-10 Cardinals, 4-10 Lions, and 4-11 Giants. What a cupcake end to that season to stop the skid. 2018 Panthers still have to play the 10-1 Saints twice.

Sorry.

I wasn’t factoring in future opponents when answering the question “is this the most embarrassing season ever”.

Every team has weaknesses. That's always going to be the case with a salary cap. This team has plenty of talent to win as is.

If you have a coach and a QB you can consistently compete. We have one of those two.

And we do compete. Consistently.

I remember many many years ago, we just had to beat NO to get into the playoffs and it was at our home. We lost, the season ended there, it stunk

2004. Climbed out of a 1-7 hole with no Davis, Foster or Smitty. And got beat by Aaron Brooks to miss the 6 seed by 1 game.

True, but our main weakness is something that’s hard to overcome (pass rushers).  Rams have Donald and Suh.  Chiefs have Houston and Jones.  Saints have Jordan.  We’ve got Short but I think he’s been on IR this season
