Is Norv Turner taking over as interim head coach a detrimental move to the team's playoff push?

It won't hurt anything, the only thing that could happen is it lights a fire under this team.    Team is going nowhere with Rivera.

There’s nothing they can do. This team has a hex on it for some reason. It might be the black cat as a mascot or the universe punishing the team for Richardson being an epic pervert. Whatever the reason this team is never going to win a championship.

This thread is a perfect example of someone asking a legit question and then receiving poo responses from newbs and millennials. There is no room for in today's society for discussion.  All retort is contained in 130 characters or less.  Not sure how Norv would do on the sidelines but at this point it wouldn't hurt to change directions.  Washington is a liability in his defensive play calling.  How would the players react to such a shakeup? I say do it and let the chips fall where they may.

Do you remember Turner as a HC? Didn’t do such a great job. And Ron isn’t being fired until at least the end of the season if he gets fired at all.

IF a move were to be made now, this is the direction I would prefer. 

Realistically, NO changes are likely to be made before the offseason.

Until I read it on the Panthers web site, I am not convinced Rivera is going to be fired anytime soon.  Including at the end of this season.  Our defense not only sucks because of Washington, but we have old players, starting players who aren't very good, and NO depth behind our starters.  You can not consistently win when you are carrying around that ball and chain.  Look what happened today when action Jackson got hurt.  It was a chain reaction of suck.
