We probably called and made a feeler offer and the Wiz leaked it knowing they will get a half dozen better offers.

That's what I'm thinking...  Bonnell was used to up the ante for the Wizards.  He just doesn't ever really break roster moves or pending trades...  any significant trades we've had since our rebirth, he only knew about them after they happened.  And I can't recall any he broke the news on or was ahead of.

But, i take solace in the fact that we at least are looking to offload Batum regardless...  i think we make the playoffs this year no matter what, but we have to get another reliable scoring threat to pair with Kemba, and I feel like getting rid of Batum is a net positive going forward.

All in would most likely be Monk, MIles and a first.....batum is only here to make the money match.

I'd ship Miles.  He's a decent player.  Very good finisher.  For as great of an athlete he is, he does play with rigidity.  Also he's got a pretty wacky form on his jumper.  I think until he can release the ball from over his head and develop a quicker release he'll be a very inconsistent shooter.  Thus ultimately a frustrating player as time goes on.  Typically...for whatever reason guys in the NBA have a hard time working on their form...see MKG.

Though I mostly talk on the Panthers board....the one thing I could probably teach...is shooting form.  I'd much rather have a guy that can shoot the ball then can jump high.

41% from 3 and only going to get better, no offense but I don't think he needs you as a shooting coach lol.

As a baseball guy I do not follow the ins and outs of NBA trades closely so forgive me if this is a stupid question...but would Biz be a more attractive piece for Washington than Batum?  It is one less year and less $ per year.  If they are tearing it down I would figure getting money off the books quickly would be ideal in any trade scenario.  I mean I know he sucks but if you are rebuilding then having Biz at 17 for one more year seems preferable to Batum for 24 each for two more years.

Williams, MKG, Biz, Batum for filler. Batum being the hardest to move, Biz probably second hardest to move.

Wizards are asking for a lot for Beal, doubt anything happens here unless the Hornets add Bridges to the package. Report was that the Wizards asking price was so high that he was essentially not being traded.

Yeah it will, I really meant his shot would improve as time goes on.

I'm sure it will and he can knock down open set shots...just dont expect him to be able to get off a good look with time running out....which is what we need. With a guy like Beal we'd be in a much better position to pull out the close games.

We  got robbed against the Sixers and we havent been able to finish off Oklahoma. We can compete with good teams...but we cant finish them consistently without another closer on the floor.

Rumor is they asked for both Monk and Bridges to which I say.....go fug yourself Washington

If I'm the Hornets I'm saying Batum has to be attached to the deal and they can have Monk or a 1st rounder not both.

Monk, Bridges, Lamb, Williams and a 1st round
