KK Short and the lack of interior DL push

Honestly, both Poe and KK are looking pretty bad in that clip. No push by them, just a lot of foot movement and a Keystone Cops-like collision while Pep and Addison get slid out and around the back of the pocket.

What you have there is text book pass blocking by some nobodies against three Pro Bowl players (Pep, Poe and Short) plus Mario who had been our #1 DE.  There's the nothing in this.

And no Greg Hardy doesn't solve this problem. Not in a school bus, not on a boat, not with a fuss, not with a goat.

First off why would you go to Greg Hardy? He’s been out of football for how long now? Second it’s all Poe. Sorry dudes, if that was star on the push with KK by his side. That middle would have simply collapsed into oblivion. Poe fuged it up. He let himself be pushed into the A gap.

That is final.

If you think otherwise you cant read tape. We are only beating ourselves right now.

Starting to think we should be putting Marquis Haynes on the field a lot more. He's really the only guy on our team that fits the model of what an edge rusher needs to be in 2018. Forget swims, counters or trying to get around the edge to a QB at the top of his drop. Balls are coming out too fast for all that jazz. You need dudes with pure, straight line speed that can get low and go straight through/by their man. That's why Addison has been by far our most effective rusher for the past few years now.

That is all conducive to what our interior does. Remember where the put the double team. For a reason. Without technique. No bull rush will win on the double team.

Not surprised...  it's been an issue all year.  Every qb we have played has been able to easily climb the pocket right up the middle bc we get pushed wide.  Also, a ton of runs we get gashed with start with the middle not getting penetration or them not holding blocks to let the LBs get there.  Oh well...  it's what we're stuck with when Ron treats every week like he's running a fuging country club.

Is the huddle a country club?

After he left here he couldn't even make a stand at the Cowboys. Since he beat up that woman his only successful work against a defender has been a handful of doughy MMA wannabes on the fight card at National Guard armories.

While completely untrue and also completely ignoring the Spring and Arena League’s, I’ll simply stay on script and state what’s important in this post.

While he was here (and the last time he played them period) he put Drew Brees and Matt Ryan on their asses.  Repeatedly.

If anyone thinks that’s a problem or doesn’t solve a problem, then they’re not a Panthers fan.

This

to counter those quick throws, push up the middle from the DT and MLB has to happen

either those players are not putting forth effort, or they are hurt or they don’t like the scheme or just don’t give a damn

there is a fix for that in the draft.  Get rid of them in 2019  go young.

Young and discipline and want to is a helluva lot better than this
