losing out will be the best thing for us

It’s already been said but you play to win the game. I don’t believe in tanking. Why throw away a season when we still have a chance? Just because you get an early 1st round pick doesn’t mean anything. I don’t believe in the loser mentality. We had that culture here for far too long in which I believe Rivera and Cam changed that. Like I said in my post, get to the playoffs and everyone is 0-0. Anything can happen.

OP, take this loser's mentality and GTFO. If it's super bowl or bust, why even try if you're not clearly the best team in your conference by week 5? Pack it up then, every team, and race to see who can take the more significant losses to reach the #1 overall pick.

You stop fighting once you're out of games to play.

It isn't over but do you really think we have a chance to win the Super Bowl ? I'm ready for a fresh start

Once upon a time, the 2003 St Louis Rams in the form of the "Greatest Show on Turf" were considered a shoe in to win it all. How'd that end for them? As long as we're playing in January, there is a chance of winning the Superbowl.

Dude the Saints were close to firing Sean Payton after some sub par season. They didn't blow up anything and look at where they are now.

We need to draft better and be smart in free agency. Our 2018 draft class is a good start.

Payton isn't Rivera. But it's too early for a thread like this. OP needs to go chill with his boy igor

I'd rather better draft pick. I also believe anyone can get hot in the playoffs and make a push. But there are teams that don't have to get hot, they've been hot all season and are lightyears ahead of us.

Having a higher draft pick doesn’t gurantee anything. There have been so many first round bust. We can still get hot. Heck the Giants did and look what happened. One could say that the Saints may have peaked too early. There are plenty more weeks of football left. Anything can happen

What is this illogical thought that the Saints have peaked too early? Team looks like a physical embodiment of a crescendo on a sheet of music.

Also, of course you can hit or miss in the draft but you are more likely to hit when you have an earlier pick.

just about as illogical as saying the season is done and we're better off tanking.
