Do we drop three in a row?

I know the sentiment is that we just need to get back on track but the Panthers are in the soft part of their schedule and have dropped games to a good Steelers team and a bad Lions team. With Sea coming to town it isn't going to get any better. While they are not a good team they are a better one than Detroit and have a very good pass rush. I would say the probability is 50% we get blown out and 80% we lose this game. What are you guys thoughts?

I feel good about this week. Only bc the players are going to be pissed. I’m not thinking the sea chickens will be a push over, bc they have been playing good ball lately. This team is to talented to lose three straight. Of course, I didn’t think we would lose to the lions...

I mean I thought we would have been pissed with Det. I wish I could feel good but this team seems to me to have no fire.

Good point. I thought they’d only let 10 pts be scored and play with a chip. I just think Cam isn’t gonna let us lose three. He’s too good and so is our offense. If RR gets his head out of his rectum, plays DJ and Curtis more, we will be fine.

The Rivera hater in me wants another L, to facilitate his way out the door.

The fan (more importantly) wants a win and believes we can win.

The realist in me is not looking forward to this game. I can't see the coaching staff getting the boys ready (scheme wise and believing in the game  plan) and getting them in the right place. I know Cam, DJ, CMC, Samuel, Luke, Pep, Donte and so on will come to play and win, but will they be allowed to play?

We can hate on Carroll and the seachickens all day, but they will come to win.

I understand that feeling and I'm not sure where I fall. If we fire Rivera it is rebuild all the way and maybe even Cam gone. On the other hand will Rivera ever have enough to win it all?

I do think if we come out soft this week at home Rivera truly will be in trouble.  Yesterday was one of the more disheartening and inexplicable losses in franchise history.

I don't think Tepper is an impulsive man, but with any team that starts 6-2, the playoffs should be an expectation.  Losing in the fashion we did in Tepper's hometown (and after Rivera was open about how much it meant to Tepper) and followed by a game in which a less talented team simply fought harder across the board than we did after 10 days off and following such a horrid loss was unacceptable.

Regardless of what anyone thinks, Rivera is a smart man.  Seattle is the most important game (in terms of Rivera's employment) that he has had since 2013.  Ron is not blind to any of this.

The good news is that we typically play better as December approaches and we have played as much against Seattle in recent years as any team not in our division.  It's hard to overstate how important this game is in terms of the playoffs this year.

There are basically 8 teams vying for 6 playoff spots...

Rams and Saints are basically assured spots and division titles.

NFC East is probably going to come down to Redskins and Cowboys (and Cowboys will probably win from attrition with Alex Smith's injury).  I guess Philly still has slight chance but I don't see it.

Bears or Vikings will win the NFC North.

The runner-up to the NFC North will be fighting for the 2 Wild Card spots with the Seahawks and us.

If we beat Seattle, we will be 2 games up on them and own the tiebreaker.  However, Seahawks get 49ers twice and the Cardinals again which are pretty much guaranteed wins.

So, we are going to need all the cushion we would get by beating them to make playoffs.

That is how disastrous the loss Sunday was... however, we still own our own destiny.

But it starts Sunday... it is basically a playoff game in terms of importance...

And honestly if we can't win at home we don't deserve it

I don't think Rivera has it in him to bring home the Lombardi.

I don't think a rebuild is necessary, if we bring in an offensive minded HC, we can keep Norv, unless the HC wants to install his own playbook, which I do not think is necessary. I've been of the mindset that even with Shula, that RR was the root of the problem.
