You want to know why Moore and Samuel weren’t on the field together?

Ron is paying for the Uber, Norv is the one actually driving.

Do you guys seriously think Ron is on the sideline going, "hold on, hold on, get 12 out of this play, 10 is already out there".   Norv has final say on play construction, 90%+ of the game plan and 100% play calls.  That means he knows exactly who is on the field for that play.

I get (sort of) the condemnation of Ron for going for the road win,  but how long does Norv hold the halo you guys have constructed?

Eh Norv deserves some blame but by and large Ron has historically had his say on the offense and player personnel so he deserves most of it for fostering such a culture of ignoring true talent and focusing on “his guys”

Hi! Ron has ultimate say on what players get playing time as they gameplan for the week.

don't get salty, I didn't mean to ban you just warn you.

but, back on topic..... and assuming that you are correct, Ron and Norv are sitting with everyone else in the offensive game plan meeting and Ron is telling Norv, you need to .... excuse me, "I Order You" to hold back on putting both 10 and 12 out there at the same time.  Correct?

Much more plausibly that was Ron's way to deflect that question and give a typical coach non-answer.

I’m not salty but you did in fact mean to ban me when you said “needed some time off” for calling a poster a weirdo.

Anywho, I think Ron is indeed telling norv that Curtis needs to be brought along slowly. There is no conceivable reason why Curtis is on the field as little as he is and at the same time is being used as a gunner on special teams. It is ludicrous.

I think it is much more ludicrous to believe there is a conspiracy theory to keep an oft-injured weapon off the field at the same time as Moore.  Even more so when the head of the conspiracy is a defensive minded coach that just hired a HOF'er  to run the offense.

Agree to disagree. But please stop targeting me and start paying attention to people who don’t actually contribute to this board and poo post. Like the definitely not trolling dude who is calling people who support Cam his boyfriend. Have a nice evening.

I'm starting to think why aren't we crucifying NORV Ron doesn't know offense he said earlier in the season having Norv allows him to not worry about the offense. Why hasn't the Brilliant Norv schemed up a offense using both in passing situations. He used them on that double reverse I think but this should be on our Offense coordinator and he's getting a pass it seems when Ron's not a offensive guy lol.

If being wrong and creepy is reason to ban huddlers it will be a busy night.  There are just a few simple rules that I look out for and not personally attacking other posters is a key.  You've decided you are above the rules regarding that more than once.  And I don't target anyone.  Your post was reported and it was an easy call.  If DNT crosses a line I would really like to know about it because he annoys the piss out of me also.

Wouldn’t you think the HEAD FUGGING COACH would and could have input into personnel decisions?

I’ve mentioned this before, its fugging HILARIOUS how some of you guys believe Ron Rivera just floats invisibly around the periphery of HIS TEAM with no input, accountability, or responsibility.

To some of you he is this AMAZING head coach but, when it comes to any or all team actions worthy of criticism well, GOSH, ol’ Ron seems to have absolutely nothing to do with them!

    • Strange, every news article and tweet I just searched all mentioned waivers. It is definitely his sixth year of at least 6 games. All I was trying to think of earlier was at the vet min could he beat out Bryce in camp next year lol. He's kinda got the old Darnold issue where he can obviously launch deep balls and qb run at a level Bryce will never achieve, but it sounds like he would be content being like a Josh Allen backup who doesn't throw the whole game plan out the window if he has to come in for a series or two. If we had him and for some reason still wanted to start Bryce he would kinda do what Justin Fields was doing the other night with Dangeruss, coming in for designed runs and maybe some play action/triple option rpo things to go deep. That would be so obvious and sad though. At least Russ can still sling it 40 yards in the air with a flick of the wrist
    • Too late to edit above but the quote is from this Diane Russini article in the Athletic: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5941684/2024/11/23/russinis-what-im-hearing-the-day-the-jets-fell-apart-and-the-broncos-rallied-belichick-best-fits/ Okay.. there you have sorry I left that out the first post.  Also waivers keep the contract intact. That is the major difference in released and waived. It's all in that link from the other post.
    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
