The Bills offense had its best day of the season against in a 41-10 win over the Jets and tackle Dion Dawkins even got in on the fun by catching a touchdown pass from Matt Barkley.

Wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin didn’t catch a pass while playing on less than 60 percent of the offensive snaps. It’s the first time that either of those things have happened this year, but Benjamin’s season wasn’t a sparkling one before that game.

Benjamin has 20 catches for 302 yards and a touchdown and he said Monday that he’s looking forward to turning the page once this season comes to an end.

“It’s definitely going to be a fresh start,” Benjamin said, via The Athletic. “Like I said, man, once I find a team or if I’m still here in Buffalo, wherever, man. I’m going to keep pushing. I learned a lot about myself. Just keep going. The mentality is to just keep pushing. Once you hit rock bottom, I guess it’s only up from there.”

Benjamin has 36 catches in 16 games since arriving in a trade with the Panthers last season. Quarterback changes and the overall struggles on offense have played a role in that along with Benjamin’s own drops and knee injuries. It’s easy to understand why that leaves Benjamin feeling things have gotten as bad as they can, but it’s unclear how many teams will be betting that things will get much better in 2019.

---------

Cam isn't exactly Drew Brees when it comes to threading he needle, but He threw the ball well enough for Benjamin to put up over 1,000 yds in his rookie season. Having Newton as his QB didn't hold KB back. He needs to take a long look in the mirror. It's obvious that moving Benjamin was wise move on the part of Hurney. He may be in for a rude awaekning if he's expecting a big payday when that rookie contract expires.

I expect people to continue paying me millions until I discover that the problem is not the team....

I say he'll be signed for one last 1-year "prove it" contract & that's it. If he fails, he's done.

Yep, probably so. You gotta be really pleased right now if you're the Bills and he's already talking about "once he finds a team" and it's mid-season... yikes. Man, KB and Funchess turned out to be fuging disasters. The further removed from Gettleman we get, the worse most of his moves look. I give him credit for getting the franchise back on track, but he didn't add much to the cupboard.

I agree. Gettleman was excellent in CAP management, signing valuable but cheap FAs & drafting offensive & defensive linemen. He simply sucked at giving monstrous contracts to FAs & drafting WRs & CBs.

lol outside of kalil, what monsterous fa signing did he do? also, we needed to solidify a LT that year and the only way was to overspend. Gettleman haters will poo on him all day but those same haters are bradberry homers.

Bradberry isn't a special player. He is average.

Those homers are insane.

Short is the only good DL he drafted. Ealy, Hall, and Butler are all busts.
