Put it into perspective: What would have to happen for you to stop being a Panthers fan?

They'd have to move.   If we lost 10 years in a row, I would lose some interest but would probably still watch.   Granted I may do other things at the same time, etc.    I feel obligated to watch because they are local and because of past nostalgia.

I ask you Panther nation, what would it take for you to stop being a fan? When what should be a championship contending team yet again shits the bed, it’s easy to go to a dark place, so let’s put it into perspective. Would it take 10+ consecutive losing seasons like the Browns? A 20 year playoff drought like the Bills? The team moving like the Rams? A slow decline of the NFL in popularity and a subsequent lack of interest in the team? Could you just disconnect yourself because the Panthers have a black cat as a mascot and might be cursed? What would it take?

As much bitching, moaning and whining as @raz has done, would be interesting to see the response if you are able to get her to answer your question...

I have no interest in football whatsoever outside of the Panthers and have not in awhile so I would never root for another team.  I finally gave up on CFB completely this year and I honestly did not miss it.  I am not sure I would ever stop being a fan, although my interest right now really is at a low point.  The three things that could do it for me...

1) The team moves, if that happened I would never watch another football game for the balance of my life
2) I or my brother moves.  I think we would both still be fans, but part of the reason we spend the money on the package is because we watch the game together.  In this scenario I think we would likely just watch the games that are broadcast locally and just check the scores on the rest
3) Something happens to completely turn me against the NFL the way I have with the NCAA or did with the NHL fifteen years ago.  I Was a huge Avalanche fan growing up.  When they cancelled the entire season I found better things to do with my time and by the time they came back I did not care.

Been a Panther fan since 95 after my Rams moved to St. Louis and I followed my favorite player to Carolina. Put up with so much shyt with Richardson and his deep south old boy cronie bullshyt. Cam was a beam of light for this Franchise despite Richardson and his racist, sexist ways. Do you remember this crap?

Finally Richardson was shown the door by the NFL for his many faults and we have a new beginning. Only for Tepper who showed great promise early to retain Richardson's #1 cronie Marty Hurney and the idiot coach Ron Rivera another year. On the field nothing has changed. Cam Newton who should have been the bedrock of the Panther Franchise for 15 years is on the precipice of being used up on the field after years of being abused by the staff. If I hang for another year of "it is what it is" I'll be gone if Hurney and Rivera are still here 2020.

The Perfect Storm is here now.
