To me, if your two all pro Lbs look lost and are not making plays as much, they don’t just stop being good, that’s all scheme.

Great point, opposing teams don’t sag as much against us and it’s harder to run quick passes. Moore typically isn’t great against the press, neither is Funch. But today Samuel and Moore showed they should be the 1 and 2 and we may be able to run quick passes.

One thing I can say about 03 era Defense we had fing heart this team full of estrogen  I blame Ron and some reason  I  blame estrogen sports programming network too.

There is more than one issue on defense.  Lack of pressure does not explain the big holes that rb's are running thru.  Nor does it explain whiffs on tackles.

I think teams have just figured us out.  We have ran the same scheme with largely the same core players since 2012/2013.  Combine that with a defensive play-caller that isn't 1/2 as good as Wilks or even 25% as good as McDermott and this is what you get.  The pure talent of the guys on the defensive side is the only reason we aren't worse statistically.  

Teams kill us with misdirection runs.
