Why does CAM continues to overthrow his WRs?

Idk what your taking about CAM has the highest percentage of overthrownball by any QBs.

His throwing percentage is up compared to his previous years but compared to elite QBs it’s a wash.

Okay post the complete statistics. Also, it's often a good thing to overthrow than underthrow.

I bet it makes you so mad that Cam Newton is the best quarterback this franchise has ever had. It must really burn you up inside.

What do you mean? He throws high sometimes, so do other quarterbacks. His completion percentage stats are all up this year.

While I agree with you it's been a topic discussed since his first season. I just really thought it would be something that could be addressed and corrected over time and I think it has for the most part. Don't get me wrong, it's no where near as much it has been in the past. But those times it rares it's ugly head seems to be when it matters most.

My opinion is that Cam doesn't put enough effort and or doesn't feel that putting in the extra work is needed to correct his mechanics because he feels that he's athletic enough to overcome the short comings of a deep back QB. He relies on his arm strength and pride himself on slinging the ball a 100 mph while reeling off his back foot.

No it makes me mad that he could be even more dangerous passer than Brady or Brees if he actually worked on his fundamentals instead of read options.

Panthers could have been 8-1 if CAm was a better passer. He shitted in 4 games with trash performance in the 1st half putting up only 7pts on the board.

Cam will always tend to sail throws when under pressure because of the way he plants his back foot and drops his elbow on throws. His motion is more like that of a baseball pitcher than a QB, looping the ball overhand and generating crazy torque with his shoulder and upper body. You can't change it at this point without ruining his overall effectiveness as a passer, but those high passes will never go away. Best way to avoid them is to stop dialing up long developing pass plays when the protection isn't holding up.

I mean, if he did correct it, say completely, wouldn't that put him on par with some of the greatest quarterbacks of all time? Can the man have some flaws, and still be a productive, even great player. I understand this is easy to point to, but it's not really that relevant. Quarterbacks miss throws constantly, just because Cam does it in predictable way doesn't make it any more prevalent to his ability.

Yeah, didn't think you had them. It's easier to make poo up than to argue an actual point.

It's because Cam has a cannon arm and a lot of times he can make throws without stepping into them. But then sometimes he can't. The issue with that throw wasn't that it was too high, it was that it was in the wrong spot and too hard. He needed to put it in front of Wright- he couldn't get it right to him because of the Dline.

It was a dumb call and it lost us a game we deserved to lose but could have stolen. It makes the Hawks game an absolute must-win.
