I was baffled at the original call as well when I saw the offense come out after the timeout. Ron boldly went for the straight win and the play worked to an extent if Cam doesn't overthrow a WIDE OPEN Wright we win and the huddle isn't looking for Ron's head. Are we going to overlook mvp Cam Newton missing a five-yard throw?

poo happens. To me it looked like a defensive lineman was in Cam's face which made him throw high.

But my first instinct once they came out for the 2pt was “why aren’t they kicking the PAT”

 

cam has been outstanding in the red zone this year.  I can let this slide

Did you watch the replay? Dlineman nearly got fingers on it even thrown high. Any lower and it's knocked down.

Y’all make me laugh endlessly.   Cam is not clutch, at some point you might start to realize it.  He is not the reason this team is average by any means, but he is not on the money in clutch situations.

Yeah Cam should have hit him. Like Terry Bradshaw said this was good play call that was poorly executed by the quarterback. I am in no way a Cam hater, and I am in no way a Rivera supporter, but if we call for Ron's head because he goes conservative too often then we can't also call for his head when he actually tries to win the game. Remember our shitty kicker that cost us a playoff game last year had already missed an extra point and a field goal in the game. It happens. Cam is having a great season, but missed the throw at the end of the game. This one is on him.

Cam messed up the last play but many others messed up the entire game. Never should have been that close.

Y’all criticizing cam for the throw need to rewatch and realize the angle. Dline were all over it. Should’ve never been a 2 pt attempt. And if it must be it should’ve never been a throw.
