Wouldn’t shock me if Gano is cut tomorrow.  You don’t make a call like that, showing a complete lack of trust in a veteran player, and then keep him on the roster.

Gano didn’t even appear to give a damn on that onside kick.  He barely jogged up to the ball and tapped it straight to a Lions player.  He’s done.

Cam threw his usual, 100 MPH, high fastball. Oline didn't force that. It's who Cam is.

I'm not mad about the 2point.   I'm mad about how we got there.   I'm mad because his defense is terrible, he coaches like a wuss, he keeps trotting out Honey Funchess of Drops out there, he keeps playing 20 yards of receivers..... he's just a mediocre coach and it's time to move on.     He's lost this team, it has no heart, even Luke is out there looking like Mayo should replace him, it's THAT bad.    This team needs a jump start.

also blaming the players is incredibly stupid and betrays a lack of understanding of how coaching decisions are evaluated. your gamble has to include the possibility of the players not making the play.

cam not making the throw is not an excuse for rivera. cam not making the throw is a possibility and ron didn't properly calculate the risk of that happening.

I'm not disagreeing that we should re-evaluate Rivera's status at HC, but it definitely shouldn't be because of that.  While I think they should have run the ball with Cam, that was ultimately not a bad choice to go for the 2.  He did exactly what you guys have begged for him to do - be aggressive - and now its a bad thing.  Had we kicked an XP and the Lions pushed it down the field and got the FG, everyone woulda been like, "that's what happens when you are conservative!"

No, I have never seen a dumber call from a head coach.  Yeah, we were exposed to a FG win by the Lions but if you don't make the 2 point conversion, you definitely lose.  That isn't being aggressive, that is being plain stupid.

You do not go for 2 there. Ever. 

There was still a minute left. If you go for it and get it, you've created 4 down territory for the Lions the entire next drive.

If you tie the game instead and stop them or sack them on 1st and second down, they can't take a huge risk on 3rd down or they risk giving the ball back with time.

With time left on the clock you have to tie it there. There is no defense for going for it. Ever. Even with Gano struggling you have to kick there.

Usual? That was the only one the whole game.

And sadly the only throw people are going to remember.

I already said Cam missed no mistake about that. Even then, of course everyone's going to point to one fugging throw (as usual) and say that's how Cam normally is (it isn't).
