Would you be satisfied and consider the season a success if the Panthers made the playoffs and were one and done?

I remember the days before the 2003 Super Bowl,...

I gather that many don’t remember but once upon a time, 1996, 2003, 2005, 2008 were the only years from 1995 that the playoffs were made until 2013.

From 2013, we’ve made it every year but one,..4 out of 5 years,... so as many in 5 years as the previous 17 seasons,..

so while I want a Super Bowl as much as many,.. from where the team came from to where it is now, making the playoffs about every year,.. yes it’s a success.

One and done is about the same as not making it. I mean what's even the point? Or what's there to be happy about? It's like showing up to a dance, but leaving after the first song. It is never a success unless you're swimming up from the bottom of the barrell like the Browns. Just being good enough to make it shouldn't be considered a success for us. Expectations should be much higher. The point of the game is winning the Super Bowl and eventually, even though you may make the playoffs, sometimes owners/gms find out they can't win the big one with who they have.

Satisfied no, but if we ended up playing a very competitive game against a team that ends up winning the superbowl I wouldn't be mad.

Anything less than that and I would expect Tepper to take a good hard look at the front office and coaching staff.

I feel like a lot of people on this forum talk about making the playoffs as if it's the Panther's Super Bowl. Perhaps as fans we try to just take it a game at a time and once the playoffs begin we believe anything can happen. But history, in general, has shown the best teams during the season, usually go the furthest in the playoffs, with few exceptions.

Would just making the WC spot and being pretty much one and done satisfy you as a fan and enable you to consider 2018 a successful season? And if not, what would?

And what do you think that means for the coaching staff?

Trying to get a feel for everyone's expectations with Ron/Cam nearing a decade here in Charlotte.

Anything less than a Super Bowl victory is almost always a failure to me given we have Cam. It's amazing to me how poorly this franchise has built around him or schemed for him at times. However, the defense will have to decide how far we're going to go. If that defense can't get right, we're going to have to hope the ground opens up and swallows New Orleans whole.

lombardi or bust.  you think the pats go into a season thinking 'if we just make the divisional round?'  we've been stuck so long in crap we forgot it stinks.    and iamhubby, why are you trying to talk like a kid?  lulz?  did you have a zima or two? ive pretty much decided you're 12, and i think a girl.   and there's nothing wrong with that, just don't pretend to be an adult.

I have too much to be grateful for to lose my mind on whether we win a Super Bowl or not.

yes the Panthers should win the Super Bowl and should have won 2015,... but we have the wrong coach for it, also we’re on the wrong side of the narrative most years.

i just believe Ron is like a Dungy or an Andy Reid or a Marty where they can coach great up until the moment that truly matters and then bust.

the problem is that a Gruden comes along, is the right coach to win the big one, but not the right coach to get to the big one—

other coaches just can’t win period,.. so what do you do?

theres only one Belicheck,...

if cam was on a team i hate i'd hate him (as a player).  but he's on my team.  truth is if we don't win one with him y'all know what the national narrative will be for him forever.  forever.  we'll know he kept rivera's job for him and it was rivera's fault.  nobody else will, and they won't listen.
