Black helmets seem to be coming...(maybe not?)

Most teams have throwback helmets, even the jags got a new helmet. Only teams I can think of with the same helmet for every game are the us, the ravens and Texans.

Yea but they don’t change the actual helmet. They can change the decals but all players have to use the same shell all year

Yeah, yes... 

All the CTE stuff forced the league to make a rule that you could not have alternate helmets because the argument is that they're not fitted and adjusted as well as your primary helmet making head injuries more likely. 

The throwback helmets you see are the same helmets the team always wears with different decals.

This announcement was about adding black socks to our all black uniforms... something I've personally wanted to see ever since we rolled out the black pants. 

Oh and this is not a zero-sum game, we can play better defense and come up with cool new uni combos at the same time. 

Saints may have been first with the all-black uniforms, but we perfected it. 

That is all.
