Wildcard Contenders; Big Week Folks

I foresee a similar season as last year.

Destiny in our own hands, sweep the saints and knock them down to the wildcard while we get the bye...but we don't.

We get the wildcard and will win, but will get beat by the Saints, in the dome, who got an extra week of rest and preparation.

I hope I'm wrong of course, but that's just being realistic.

    Too much season left to make blanket statements about the future.

    What? Being afraid, does not equate to realism. What happened last year has little, to no, bearing on future events.

 

    You either believe in this team. Or you don't. You don't need to label it to make yourself feel better.

 

    Hey, I get it. It is much easier to be negative, I mean a realist. Folding in the face of adversity, and kowtowing to your fears, is easy.

This team really has to go 4-0 in the next four games. One loss and there’s a good possibility we miss the WC. Only way to win the South is if the Aints have a meltdown, which ain’t happening.

id love for the bears to win that division and keep the packers and vikings out of the playoffs.

Bears might have the best defense in football but ill take our chances against Trubisky instead of Rodgers or the Vikings who I think have the best roster in football but have underachieved

Bears have a tough schedule ahead of them.  I do hope they win division, and keep Green Bay out of the playoffs. I do think 2 teams from the North get in

    Have you seen the standings in the NFC? One more loss is not going to knock us out of the Playoffs. Too many contenders playing each other.

 

    Besides. 2 of our last 3 games are at home. So there is a very good possibility that we are Playoff bound. And if some unforeseen disaster hits the aints, we very well could win our Division. 

 

    Too much football left.

I was reffering to teams in wild card hunt, maybe I wasn't clear enough. Minnesota/Chicago is already in considering one will take division spot and other will be in wild card next to us. 

Seattle, packers, falcons, eagles, ect have to play catchup

we haven't played a complete road game this season so far and we're 9 games in. That is a problem and nobody should be super confident going into Lions game.

Actually, that tie will most likely help them like it helped the 2014 Panthers win the division at 7-8-1 over us at 7-9. Any team with less or the same number of wins as the Packers or Vikings won’t beat them out for a Wildcard.

If one of them gets to 9 wins, other contenders in the hunt will need 10; if they get to 10, those without a tie will need 11 wins. Whether the non-tied teams have a tiebreaker over them or not, it won’t matter. If they don’t have more wins than the Packers or Vikings, they’ll be on the outside looking in.

Don't see how a tie helps u bud. Sorry how u and saints for life go back to your on damn board. I don't know why Igo keeps letting y'all on our board. We want Panthers fans on here not y'all.

Do you not understand how a tie works? It’s considered a half-win when doing win percentages. Let’s just say the Bears win the North with an 11-5 record. If the Packers and Vikings both have records of 10-5-1 and the Panthers have a record of 10-6, the Panthers and every other team vying for a Wild Card berth that have less than 11 wins are on the outside looking in, even if they’d have a tiebreaker over the Packers or Vikings such as a head-to-head win.

Is that clear enough to how a tie is beneficial or do I have to draw you a picture?

And that’s funny, I shouldn’t be here yet I’m apparently the only one that knows how a tie works? He probably enjoys us here to educate y’all so he doesn’t have to, LOLOLOL.
