Oooohhhhh man. That dudes bad lol.

Sure, if you expect him to be an every down back.

If he plays he’ll be used similar to the way you guys used him, out of the backfield.

He averages over 8 yards per reception on around a 75% catch rate (which would be top 15 in the NFL for running backs).

He probably won’t see the field but if he does and his targeted, he’ll more than likely catch it.

I think this makes sense at the very least that

1) CAP can do what CJ was doing

2) Cadet offers some inside intel on a team that beat us 3x last season

It doesn't matter what CJ is capable of, he's not better than CMC, and wasn't going to play. I think he and a lot of us saw a running back duo approach with CJ replacing Stewart. However they've been featuring CMC and the kid is answering the call.

This has the potential to work out fine for each side. I think we all like CAP enough as a runner who's game is similar to CJ's, and now we have a back with a similar set to CMC. I'm not a huge fan of the move BUT it makes some sense.

That may be true but they cod have kept him and had him more involved and then cut him next yr or not resign him. Why did they even sign him they knew when they signed him he did not fit then.We are laughing stock of an organization. We lose the game bc defense laid an egg and what do we do cut a 1000 us rb and pick up my 4yr old son playmate. This is beyond stupid.

I have an issue with signing him, not cutting him.

I don’t think we ever needed him but maybe the Panthers wanted insurance in case CMC didn’t progress.

That’s a fair assessment until late in the season and an expired and exhausted CMC gets injured and our backup is CAP. I’d rather have CJ personally. This is very near-sighted in my opinion. CJ wasn’t even given an opportunity, on the field, to earn PT. Maybe something was going on in the locker room, but I find that hard to believe considering the type of character guy CJ is. He may have challenged the powers that be about playing time and they didn’t like that. Doesn’t matter.

After Sproles, Payton tried to make him the receiving back here. He had every chance to carve out a role. Guys a hard worker, does everything right, just isn't athlete enough to do what he needs to do.

Does he still have a Saints playbook and if so will he pull a Smitty...

My guy. Look at his career splits lol. He did nothing outside of NO, including in NE. Literally the only place he was mildly successful was NO, and he was given a chance to be Reggie, Sproles, Kamara here.

He's a 3rd RB, so it's not a big deal. But dudes just not a good RB.

So he’s basically Fozzy Whittaker 2.0.
