I think it's a terrible decision.

Can't really justify it system wise either. Artis-Payne is a lot more like Anderson than he is McCaffrey.

In that scenario, you basically just dropped a better running back to elevate a lesser version of the same style.

The staff obviously sees something we don't. I know CAP is faster, but that's all I got. I highly doubt Hurney woke up today and said "I am firing CJ today." I am sure it was a methodical process.

Ill let this play out until there is any indication it bites us in the ass, before I gripe about it. He didn't really do anything, and when in the game defenses stacked the box. He just wasn't a good fit.... so far

CMC has been a top 5 back this year and here we are complaining about cutting his back up.

No one knows what happened behind closed doors but the bottom line is that Norv likes to run his offense a certain way and Anderson didn’t fit with what he likes to do.

Whether Anderson asked for a release or not, the Panthers did him a solid by giving him a chance to get PT elsewhere.

He only "didn't do anything" because we never used him.

In the early games when he did see action, he was quite effective. It looked like we had a great one-two punch going with he and McCaffrey.

Then for whatever reason, the coaches decided we only needed to punch with one hand.

The latter half of the season is when the way of attrition really starts to shape up. Dropping good depth as that cycle is just about to start is just baffling.
