Just saw one of the best metal concerts in my life

Does Whitechapel still have three guitarists?

I know they caught a lot of flack about their seeming change in sound a while back, but I haven't listened to them much in a long time. It was always weird to me that they had three guitarists, though.

The rest of the lineup, I know Chelsea Grin and Oceano. Sounds like a pretty good deathcore show tbqh.

Out of the genre, I'd say Carnifex (more death metal) and Emmure, yes Emmure, (more core) are probably my favorites.

I don't know the best metal show I've ever been to. Probably a BTBAM show somewhere? IIRC I think I went and saw them at Amos' with In Flames, The Faceless, and 3 Inches of Blood circa 2008 or 09... That was a killer show...

Maybe Slipknot or Soulfly way back in my nu-metal high school days in the late 90's at the Ritz in Raleigh before it closed and then reopened? IDK too many to remember/count.

They still have three guitarists and I'm glad they do. They lose nothing in live shows due to that fact. And their set just sounds a lot more full than your 3 and 4 piece bands.

They didn't change their sound that much, just some people want Somatic Defilement every album and the band shifted to a sound that is just as heavy, but a hair more "structured" I guess.

Oceano was pretty good, but Slaughter to Prevail outdid them. Chelsea Grin crushed. Them having the singer from Lorna Shore has made them a much better sounding band.

I like Emmure's Felony album but after that I don't like much of their stuff. The Acacia Strain are more my speed in that sub-subgenre of metal lol.

I kinda was iffy for Emmure and still am to an extent, but their last album is one of the better heavy albums I've heard in a long time. Josh Travis really took over and developed their sound. Really really good.

Hadn't heard that. Really digging it.

Morbid Angel doesn't get the love when bands talk about influences, but I hear a lot of them in this track as well as a lot of the genre today.

Satan's music,  you will all go to hell if you keep listening to that stuff. You should be listening to wholesome music like Ozzy and AC DC

that's bullsh&t and everybdoy knows it. The Carpenters open the doors the hell.

Seasons Greetings!

srsly, the best Christmas song ever.
